Police want to photograph teen's penis in "sexting" case

There are some programmers out there that spend their time making a penis comparison software, that's is some hard job

I can only imagine their response when asked about their job

Wait, so they are old enough to have sex with each other, but not to send sext?

That is fucked up. Really fucked up.

Sadly, welcome to the US, and it's messed up laws. We really need to spend a few years streamlining the law books to make it fair across the borders.

This is what happens when you get low-intelligence application of the laws.

Adherence to the letter of the law, with none of the intent respected.

I think it has more to do with the fact that these pictures have the potential to be distributed outside of this couple. Example being if they break up and the guy or gal decide to get back at them by sending out the pictures to the internet. They are gong a tad for with the whole penis thing though.

This also reminds me of those Teenage girls who posted a picture of their friend in her panties as a prank online, they ended up being charged with child pornography. America is very strict when it comes to these incidents and I think the problem with changing the
law is that it might open loops in some cases and cause problems.

This is a tough topic to tackle and would like to hear some posters solutions to these laws that I'm not very familiar with.

They need to inject him for a boner?

I can get those by command now.
What a loser.

Also, you know, taking pictures of a boy's dick is still taking pictures of a boy's dick. Not necessarily the most fantastic thing to do in any situation.

Wouldn't a photo used as evidence become a public record? How is making a photo of a child's genitals a public record going to stop the creation of child porn?

no, there are all sorts of exemptions for evidence

this is a weird case all around... I think it's worth being a bit more careful as the only info we have about some of the more bizarre specifics have come from his defense lawyer (though they may certainly be true)

Interesting, as age of consent is 18 in VA, but those aged 15-17 may consent to have sex with each other. They are 15 and 17...hmm...what bullshit to make this charge in the first place, and also not apply the same standard.

This should have gotten some attention...that was good. haha

Actually, this make sense, since images/videos are illegal.

There are some sex laws that are a bit confusing. In some states it's legal for minors to have sex, but not oral sex, for example.

A 17 year old and 15 year old having a sexual relationship is okay as long as they are responsible and use protection. I mean jeezus...they will probably charge him with statutory rape too.

Also forcing the kid to have an injection to make his dick hard should be illegal. WTF.

I remember that happening when I was in freshman year. A 17 guy and 16 girl were dating and they got caught. In Georgia the age of consent is 16, but the guy was locked up for 2 years (iffy on the time), while nothing happened to the girl.

Would be amazing if this goes through and then the FBI swoops in and charges the police, prosecutors, judge, and doctor who administers the shot with sexual abuse, child pornography, and put them all on the registered sex offenders list.

Well I guess it makes sense according to the law but the law doesn't make sense.

I kept seeing this in the headlines and thought to myself, "What kind of backwards bumfuck place could this be in?"

Then saw it's my hometown.

Well...

I'm surprised they haven't charged the girl with the same offense.

Because in order for that to happen they (the boys family) would have to show proof of the text and then. SURPRISE CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CHARGE against the boy and/or his family.

This is one of those things that does not go both ways except in extreme cases like domestic abuse

That doesn't make a lot of sense. They are trying to prosecute on the terms he created child pornography. Now let's say he DID take nude pics of some other underage teen. Would the prosecutors then need to see that victim's erect penis in order to verify they were the one in the video?

You don't ever fucking need to do that in child pornography cases. So why is this one any different just because the photographer and the victim are the same person?

Can't believe they've already taken pics against his will; and now want to take even more. This is so fucked up.

Jesus christ, I'm never leaving my house again. Why are old men so against young people having sex?

And in this one, they can't tolerate the fact that he took pictures of his own body. I seriously doubt it has to with child pornography at this point. These government officials want to fuck this kid's life up in the most embarrassing way possible, while getting dick pics.

Seriously, wouldn't they technically be on the county's salary during the whole process of forcing him to get an erection, taking pictures of his genitals cuz how else are they supposed to try him in court? Lie? No, this is a new government subsidy program to get into the booming kidde porn business. Submit everything as "evidence", and then after everyone in the court room gets a good look at flaccid picture A, and erect picture B. They realize that they've been staring at that child's forced drug induced erection, they arrest those sick fucks that can tell their new cellmates how long they spent taking pictures of some kid they forced to get naked in front of their cameras.

I thought so! Damn my luck and posting at the bottom of a page :/

Someone needs to hack that phone, copy that dick and then flood the dick database with dummy profiles who all have that exact dick. Pretend it's a Watchdog DLC mission while you're at it, hero Gaffer.

How is the girl not charged in this? It's the same exact "crime". In fact I've read articles before where judges and cops have laughed at parents who try to get the boy in these cases arrested. Why? Because it makes no fucking sense. And then for the cops to take pics of the kid's genitals? Fucking ridiculous. How sick would it be if they dragged in the girl and started taking pics of her tits or other parts to compare? That wouldn't fly and neither should this. Disgusting.

The prosecutors and the police can only do so much; they only have the penis comparison software, not the full Comparison Suite

So then if it turns out they do identify the penis video as being of the boy won't the girl get charged with possessing child porn too?
