It's interesting how Bernie is doing much better with the black vote in general in Michigan. He's still getting creamed but 30% is far different than sub 20%.

Wonder if we'll see similar results in non southern states like Ohio and Illinois.

I mean 90% is an absurd margin that you can't expect to hold up for Hillary everywhere.

So if Bernie wins MI, Hillary still grows the delegate lead?

Cause it looks like he ain't getting anything from Miss

He would only end up with about 4 more.

You guys are either brave or crazy to put money on individual primary states. I made good money betting on Obama but man, I don't think I could handle this primary stuff.

So roughly how much would that be numbers-wise?

nobody knows. the percentage is by precinct, not raw numbers. and the not-detroit parts of wayne county (grosse pointe, etc) reported in early.

you're basically waiting for the 50% of precincts remaining that are detroit to come in, and turnout could make those numbers look like anything. it's going to be a pro hillary area though.

Something similar to what happened with Hispanics in Texas vs Hispanics in Colorado. Minorities can have shades of ideology, people.

Yeah, but that's pretty demoralizing. 7% of Dems in the Republican primary is material and somewhat upsetting as a dem. Strategic voting is for losers.

Southern demographics aren't the same as northern and eastern demographics, regardless of race. The vote is more rural in the south, southern church organizations have more of an impact, etc. More urban voters in Michigan than Mississippi.

Can we get Detroit new voting machines or something
It's because of the way reporting is done. Precincts have to balance, every ballot used (either properly voted for, damaged, spoiled, etc.) has to be accounted for and so on.

A nearby township in 2014 their five precincts (all of about 3000 total votes in each) reported they were balanced at:
1 - 8:30pm
2 - 9pm
3 - 3:30am
4 - 9:30pm
5 - 9pm

The commissioners can't sign off on the vote totals for their district until each precinct is balanced, only THEN do the commissioners count the votes. They went over to the "third" precinct and seized the ballots to balance them themselves rather than continue to wait on the incompetent precinct.
