It looks like Heller has accepted his fate that he will lose his election, so at this point, he really has no reason to not vote for whatever his buddies want.
I'll reserve final judgment til the book comes out, but I'm allowed to react to a news story posted. And it's a goddamn joke.
Well this will probably dominate all of September. Curious to see what she has to say. I think Hillary Clinton would have been a good president and she was clearly the far better choice over Trump. But her personal hubris is notorious. I'm interested to see how she sees the election.
Based on that story, this is going to be a hell of an ego trip.

Publicaly shaming people who don't always vote on all the stuff you want is... a less than ideal way to try to do politics. Especially in the Senate. She now has a perfectly good excuse to not vote in favor for aaaaanything that comes up and she's a sympathetic character for all despite the R tag.
Edit: Oh, damn, I missed how easy a response to this is. "I'm here to represent the people of Alaska, not work for the republican party or worry about people in other states."

Curious about what more there is to reveal about Comey or Russia that the Clinton campaign would know that the rest of us don't already. Comey violated the Hatch Act, Russians hacked into Dem emails and released them through Wikileaks to tarnish her campaign -- what more is there to say?
He voted for the bill despite saying hours before he wouldn't vote for it. He also said days ago that the Senate needs to move to a bipartisan process on healthcare and that he'd do whatever the governor wanted (the governor of AZ is opposed to BCRA).
McCain made three distinct statements on the healthcare bill in the last week and lied about all three when it came time to vote.

Why do we give a fuck about Hillary Clinton's book again...? She's writing it, it'll paint the most favorable picture of herself. This is not unexpected, it's not unusual, and it's not really comment worthy unless you're the kind of half-wit that thinks that Republicans should be allowed to set the agenda.
FOX will try to make hay of it. They'll be counterprogramming against the budget negotiations and whatever volcano is erupting under Trump. They'll look like idiots for a couple of weeks and unless the rest of the media spontaneously decides that yes, even at this juncture, they hate Hillary enough to aid and abet this White House, that'll be the end of it.

Hillary Clinton book is porn for democrats who are invested in the Russia narrative.
She really needs to go away, the right wing publications still get massive views whenever they drop fake news related to her. This will only add fuel to the fire.

I meant the book is a product designed to sell to people who are spending a significant amount of effort eating up everything related to the Russia investigation. There are people profiting off this stuff like Mensch and her extended cast

Well for one, it directly contradicts what Schumer said a few days ago. So it doesn't really help the party get aligned and consolidate a message.

Speaking for myself, *every* liberal I know, and plenty of moderates, are all "invested in the Russia narrative." None of them have ever brought up Mensch. Let's not tar something legitimate with the fringiest element.

I think I don't actually give a fuck about the book except insomuch as some of y'all are spinning it the Right's benefit. Hillary Clinton is DONE as a major force in Democratic politics. She's never running for anything ever again. You, me, and everyone else doesn't really have any particular reason to give a shit unless you're interested in her personal take on things because you think her thinking and ideas have merit. You clearly don't, so I'm not sure why you're devoting brainpower to it.
And it doesn't really contradict what Schumer said. His statement was more about the Dems taking responsibility for the stuff they fucked up, not that their fuckups were the sole or even primary cause of what happened.
Okay - and this is clearly her not taking responsibility.
I don't want a public self-flagwllation - but I also think it's stupid to come out so strong and blame literally every other factor when no one asked for this.

Don't really think the book will have any significant revelations. I'm also not sure she's not allowed to tell her side of the story (as narrowminded as it might seem to some). I didn't see many Ds beating her numbers.
