He called Sean... For dinner.

President Trump is dining Wednesday evening with Fox News host Sean Hannity and former Fox News executive Bill Shine, according to a report.

The trio will also be joined by Anthony Scaramucci, the incoming White House communications director, who taped an interview with Hannity earlier in the day, which will air tonight at 10 p.m. ET. The dinner was reported in a tweet by Ryan Lizza, Washington correspondent for the New Yorker, citing two sources.

Speaking of the Mooch...

White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci on Wednesday night compared Republican lawmakers’ ongoing efforts to repeal Obamacare to former President Abraham Lincoln’s abolition of slavery.

“I’m wondering whether the President feels he’s been front-stabbed by some of the senators who voted down that repeal of Obamacare,” BBC Newsnight reporter Emily Maitlis asked.

“Well, it’s too early. It’s too early. What do we know,” Scaramucci said.

He called Congress “a congregational setting” with “a lot of conversations that go on.”

“If you’ve read ‘Team of Rivals,’ it took Lincoln three or four times to get what he wanted from the Senate and the House of Representatives, which was the full abolition of slavery,” Scaramucci said. “That was a much tougher thing to get done than what we’re working on right now, but it’s too early.”

Random Human

They were trying to grab your prize. They work for the mercenary. The masked man.
I can see why various people were scared of Scaramucci, look at how he's weaseling right in there. Preibus you in danger.

Had to explain to my friend's mom (very Lib. Public school teacher) why the Sessions/Trump feud is something to be cheered, and how Sessions is currently having a more detrimental effect day-to-day than Trump is.

She was all "how dare he attack this man for doing the right thing and following the law it's so disgusting rage rage" and I was like "dearest, please breathe."

Things like this make me worried that all the Trump Hysteria is going to let the rest of the GOP off the hook even on the left that's not constantly plugged in. She's like part of the "won't say his name" crowd.

This Trump comparing himself to Lincoln now reeks of that greasy haired Yes Man Mooch.

How long until it comes out Mooch has Russian ties?

Lol at the beginning of the week I thought "Geez the worst thing this week is having to worry about healthcare with all the stuff going on..." but who knew it'd actually be having to worry about civil rights again.

Don't leave and continue the cluster to the coasts and maybe we can keep him for longer.

This is the problem Democrats face and why they'll continue to lose seats.

Columbus is pretty rad. Just move there! :p

Edit: That being said, stay at least until after the midterms. The Senate NEEDS Brown!

Part of the problem is that I understand everything you're saying, Pyrokai, but the pay and job stability isn't here and I'm cut off from most of my friends due to the distance. :(

Like, I'd love to stay and help Ohio flip back blue. But it's becoming harder financially for me to stay here.

What McConnell did?

I am genuinely asking what could be done to prevent this. That wasn't facetious or anything of the sort. I am unfamiliar with the process and was asking what could be done to prevent it.

Democrats can filibuster the adjournment resolution.

Thank you--this is what I was looking for.

I wouldn't want Mueller fired. Yeah, it makes him look even more guilty of obstruction/the investigated crimes, but the very fact he's openly talking about it is evidence enough, and Rs aren't likely to do anything about it either way.

That said! I am curious as to how many times his stooges/Mr. Baron have called the investigation to plead and whine.

I was being serious. I assume they could do what McConnell did to Obama, which is what Auto said. I just don't know for sure if they can.

Yes, I remember reading about when alt-Lincoln freed the slaves through an act of Congress in 1861. Faced with legal action, the South laid aside its greivances and each state in turn voluntarily agreed to the 13th Amendment. A reception was held in Ford Theatre after the ratification, and John Wilkes Booth was heard to exclaim "God Save the President" at a gala premiere of Our Confederate Cousin.

OK--wasn't sure if you though I was being genuine. I think a lot of us are confused about the possible process.

Yeah, this article sums up why I would never call myself a leftist on economic matters.

I don't see why. Do you mean because he points out "hey socialism actually means socialism, not welfare state liberalism" and you disagree with what socialism aims for, or because it's a branding issue.

I've been worried about the sort of thing he talks about there, namely that a generation of progressives are slapping the socialist label on themselves without actually understanding the difference between the goals of socialism and liberalism. Welfarism is fine as a means to an end in a society where thats the most radical we can get, but it still has to be a means and not an end.

Regardless of DeBoer's other failings, I don't really see a big problem with that article.

The former. I like markets.

Sure, the article is self-consistent and I agree with its definition of socialism. I just don't agree with its basic premise, so I'll stick to calling myself a welfare state liberal.

I feel like if we expand the welfare state enough it can just replace work and we can get to socialism that way.

Wait, is this true?

He followed up saying

Important point: I say "rumored" because this seems to be a CBO score from Democrats, not the actually legislation. Could differ?

Still, it's looking increasingly likely this whole charade and series of votes were just for the sake of having the votes.

Democrats should thank them if that's the way this turns out. So much ammo.

I think it's a guess that the AHCA's medical device tax cut put a certain hole in the budget, and voiding the individual mandate only covers a certain part of the hole due to reduced tax credits.

The CBO drop on the "skinny" I think ends that. It was supposed to be a less-cruel-looking thing that took insurance from several less million people (which is how you picked up Heller on it) but it's even worse than the BHCA, lol.
Does the Foxconn factory come with suicide nets?
All buildings in Kenosha, WI have suicide nets pre-installed.
/s, it's actually a cute little city
