For every single PS reveal, there have been incredible demos, and a tease of games from major franchises to come.

MS came out with Hellblade II. If Sony is doing it like they usually do, they're not gonna come out with a demo for just one game. They're gonna have the Final Fantasy demo, and the Gran Turismo demo, and the Tomb Raider demo, and so on, so forth.

They're probably not ready yet. It would be very unlike Sony to just come out with a list of specs and a single game demo. Not gonna happen..

It has done wonders for xbox but at the same time though Sony has like several big games coming out in the next few months so folks will be talking about PlayStation from FF7 all the way to Ghost of Tsushima. So Sony could just honestly wait all the way to E3 June and then do hard marketing all the way to PS5's release. I think what would help out folks is if Sony would announce when they would talk about the PS5 rather than us constantly going off rumors over and over again.

This. Sony could've made the wait a lot more easier by just announcing which month or saying more PS5 info is coming this spring or summer

PS will own most of the headlines in 2020 because they still have big releases coming

My personal opinion, so take it with a grain of salt but I'm going to wager that Sony is simply waiting for it big name games coming out you know final fantasy 7 remake, the last of us 2, ghost of Tsushima...

Chances are they don't want to overshadow that news with hype for the playstation 5 making people wait to buy a new system rather than purchasing the games when they come out, I would argue from a business standpoint this is also a smart thing to do...

Precisly what I'm thinking. They got caught with a lower powered box and are trying to revise the hardware at this point. If that the case, they'll cancel PS5 release for this year. As I understand it, changing hardware to retain more power isn't as simple as flipping a switch. Alot of work has to be done. We'll see...

But, I mean, Sony is saying jack shit right now. They've had ample time to speak to their fanbase to some degree. They won't even out on a digital show for their own GDC.

You'd think Microsoft offering to do their own would inspire Sony to maybe offer the same. But they haven't. They haven't changed one tune.

Now if this were Microsoft, what would Sony fans be saying at this point? We would be hearing how the entire XGS stable of developers were closing down as Phil and Major Nelson folded up next generation along with the side walks after they announce Xbox is no more on the late night Conan and Jimmy show.

The reason for the PS4 Remasters was because there was a mass exodus on the Xbox front, all jumping ship to PS4.
And with no BC, they brought the best Playstation games to PS4 so people who missed out could enjoy them.

I will simply add that Sony doesn't give a shit about your opinion simply because it's neither informed nor pertinent.

They will announce their console in further detail whenever they want and people will be glad simply because they will finally know what it is.So right now a lot of people are tensed about those reveal to the point of stupidity(it may not apply to you simply because I absolutely don't care about your post history.You may have anticipated everything just as well as you can be the stupidest man on this forum. I have no idea).
Whatever the specs people will talk about it and all that tension would be gone like it was nothing, like it always does with hype.

Just get relax and watch people too serious about it because honestly why should we care about which is the best?
As of now objectively the series X seems really powerful and the ps5 is RDNA2 that's all we know that's been new it the last 4 months.I admit it has been funny following the meltdowns.But sometimes you can try to be the better man and just turn it down a notch.
