So what's next on the Xbox chopping block?

They confirmed that everything shown at their recent showcase would still be coming.

So that leaves doubts hanging over…

Fable
Gears of War E-Day
Blade
State of Decay 3
Contraband
OD (thought Kojima will just go with another publisher)

Ninja Theory will likely be the next team to go, Hellblade II was a huge flop.

They wont cancel Gears.

But I think Contraband might be next because of this

Im guessing Fable won't last either

Kojima's OD
Fable
State of Decay 3
Contraband
Ninja Theory
Gears Emergence Day or wherever it's called? Probably not, but you never know.

AI so far has cost all the mega corporations billions.

But what do I know I'm an old man who doesn't need AI to summarise emails I can still read.
i dont think it was specifically gonna be the AI that gonna cost them another flops. but more like their failure at handled things. just like their other products. from smartphones, console, subs service etc. the idea is there but the problem is their way at utilize and approach things. it gonna be the same way if they did it with another instant domination success in mind. there is a reason why they been chasing after trends for decades.

Yeah, that was the one from 5 year ago. Then last year they had an "in-game" trailer that didn't actually show any real in-game stuff; at least no stuff with a HUD.
Small studio about 100 and SOD2 took 5 years from the first one and this is obviously more ambitious, I'd say it's within the amount of time you'd expect it to take.

That a company like Xbox has to say that what was shown at the last E3 is "safe" says a lot about the brand's situation, so we can say that what was shown at the 2024 showcase is in danger of cancellation.

Ninja Theory probably.
If anything saves them it will be their tech experience, motion capture etc, where MS are far behind Sony. I can see them becoming a support studio more than a studio that makes big budget games though.
