The guy posted a preponderance of evidence about the cheating, including him logging into his facebook and showing chat logs. If all else is bullshit, that much is true, don't know why you're defending that part.

That is the one thing that shouldn't be in doubt here. You can say it's no one's business but you can't deny that it even happened.

Honestly, yes. Exposing cheaters is not something I view as wrong and it'll be a cold day in hell when I feel bad for them. Cheating is just the worst.

Pretty much this. As soon as it was confirmed that the info leak is legitimate, any semblance of accomplishment, progress, or in general trying to make a point, was thrown right out the window.

Well, the thought that something wrong can be excused by something else that was wrong, is pretty much what's wrong with social media and internet communities.
And people who rallies an internet mob for personal issues and relationship dramas suffers from a severe case of stupidity, and should be quarantined, because it's contagious.
It's not really a debate. A lot of people are either completely out of the loop, or think things are true that aren't, there is a metric fuck ton of misinformation being spread.

That works both ways. We could all ignore his building comment too rather than tangentially bringing it up in discussion on a different site. But some of us discuss it anyways just like he reads and replies to tweets anyways. It is what it is.
I think people should avoid commenting on the Zoe thing in this thread. Even if you fall on one side or another of the issue, This is about Phil Fish's hacked account, and I feel like talking about Zoe is just going to things heated and then this thread will probably be locked or something.
Honestly, no one but gamers even know this is happening, or will ever know. Obsessing about how you look to other fictitious people is just a waste of time; particularly if you had nothing to do with any of this.

People have just wanted any reason to attack him.
A lot of research has been done into the psychology of cyberbullying, I can't say anything de facto but ignoring it doesn't make it go away.

Unfortunately. Lucky for me it wasn't some long ongoing relationship but it sucks, to say the least. It's probably why I have such a harsh view of cheaters in general

If you'd read even part of the thread, you'd know the answer is no. Or, well, depends on the person. Case in point: Phil Fish is kind of a dick, but he doesn't deserve this. Nobody does. Someone else posted a wonderful analogy comparing what I'd like to happen to people--this being terrible and the thing I'd like being a car splashing water on them.

Terrible news, but Fish must have been incredibly lax on security. Someone said his SVN was public facing? Yikes. Getting hacked was inevitable for him unfortunately.
Should be a wake up call to anyone that doesn't have two-factor auth on things like email to start using it immediately.

Some folks make mistakes that hurt peoples feelings. I see it more as a mistake, people can learn from those. I refuse to believe that if someone cheats once, they're just going to keep doing it.
Exposing cheaters is a weird thing to do. That's really none of our business.
