I go to the Popeyes in Berkeley every month or two and I see about 90% Black 5% White 5% Hispanic. I think I am the only Asian guy I have ever seen in there.

From what I understand though it started when Blacks were heading North to places like Chicago on train and fried chicken was one of the most durable foods to make the trip. Don't quote me on that though.

Seriously quit focusing on the stereotype, you know what every stereotype has some truth in it. Do Black people like chicken? Yes, but so does everyone else and not everyone who is Black loves chicken.

Eh, I'd be pretty pissed too. Shit, when I get my Popeyes I RUSH back to my work parking lot to make sure that the chicken is still hot and crispy. On hot days, I'll go so far as to turn off the AC and roll up the windows to preserve the heat. I want the juices to be scalding. While I could eat in the Popeyes parking lot, I prefer my work lot as it has a view and I can take a nap right after. NPR + Popeyes = WIN. The last thing I want to do after devouring, at minimum, six pieces of chicken is to drive. In short, I feel their pain.

A little history: When I was around 13 years old I became interested in computers because my dad built and sold them for extra cash. We're talking 386's here. He'd advertise in the classifieds and we'd get all sorts of customers. My father took care of most of the hardware stuff while I installed the software. One of our customers happened to be the manager/owner of Popeye's Chicken. We'd never heard of it before so he gave us complimentary coupons. From then on, I was hooked. We came to an agreement that if he wanted any new software installed on his PC, he need only pay us in Popeye's coupons. Sadly, he sold off the business. It went through several owners, all decent until recently. Now it's fly-ridden and run by apathetic teenagers who always look bored enough to fuck with the food. A shame since it's very close to my house. Now, I go to another Popeyes almost 30 miles from my house but 8 miles from my work. The people in those videos are lightweights compared to my obsession with the stuff.
