Just ordered the 3-piece with Cajun rice and an extra biscuit.

Hope it's awesome...

Loved them. The size threw me off as they were at least twice as big as the regular tenders. The waffle flavor rubbed off on the biscuit and was just a divine little bonus. I had them with the maple sauce and it wasn't too sweet for me. I'll try the remaining strips with the bbq sauce and see how that goes tonight.

DID NOT DISAPPOINT

yeah for some reason all their biscuits have a hint of this waffle taste now. I had just regular Popeyes chicken for dinner monday and ended up throwing the biscuit away because it just tastes off. So apparently, something somewhere is getting mixed.

Dislike the new waffle tenders btw.

So I'm pretty sure I was served by high schoolers, as they somewhat got my order wrong but whatever...

I had ordered the 3-piece combo and an extra biscuit, Cajun rice for my side. Instead, I got red beans & rice, 4 pieces of tenders & no soda (lol). I also had to ask them for my extra biscuit I ordered, but it was no big deal.

The chicken was awesome, loved the batter on it as it's nice, lighter & extra crispy. So good indeed. The sauce was a bit too sweet for me, and I love sweet stuff. It was fantastic on my biscuit though, which lead to me doing this with my extra chicken & biscuit:

It was even better... I may just order a boatload of biscuits and eat the strips this way from now on or something.

Maybe I'm just a tool, but I never thought of using the biscuit as a bun to put the chicken in. I just eat the biscuit straight. Maybe scoop up some gravy with it or something, but never actually eat the chicken like that.

I was just at Popeyes today and didn't think to order the waffle tenders. Might have to stop by tomorrow or something.

For a second I thought that was a piece of chicken skin sandwiched inside that biscuit. Which actually sounds delicious now that I think about it. I think I'll go to popeyes tomorrow.

The piece of chicken I had was pretty big, so I tore the tender in half. Spooned a bit of the honey maple sauce on top and sandwiched it with the biscuit. Delicious. :3

Not sure if people like/dislike the 'sandwich' thing I did, but I felt it worked out great.

It's a great use for the leftover sauce and compliments the savory taste of the chicken, the buttery taste of the biscuit & the sweet of the honey maple sauce.

Are you kidding me? That's some revolutionary shit

The only issue I have is that I would have to order many more biscuits to pull that off, lol

I usually order cajun gravy on the side and just dunk every bit of that biscuit in there

I bet this would be amazing with a little hot sauce added

Just got back from Popeye's. Eating a batch right now. De fucking licious. It's not something I would get all the time but it's damn tasty. I didn't get the sauce though

I had this for lunch a few days ago. Surprised it was in Canada.

Holy fuck was overpowering. The syrup with the batter with the chicken. Good but I guess good in a once in a few years way...

So I bought a meal today after not doing so for like a week or two and wtf. They massively shrunk the tenders and the ammount of fries. The fries are in a bag now instead of all loose in the box. And the tenders are fucking tiny now. Tiny!

I had this the other day--I wish the breading had a bit more waffle flavor.

I prefer the spicy strips, but as long as this is a dollar cheaper, I'll be getting the waffle ones when I go.

I shot people I like more for less.
Had it again this weekend myself. Still as good as the first time. I also introduced them to my brother and his girlfriend, and they loved them as well. That breading is just so damn good, though I've been lucky enough to have it very crispy both times.

I thought about bumping this thread when I saw a sticker advertising it on the drive-thru window last Tuesday :lol

YESSSSSS I saw the window sticker on Thursday and it said "take down by 5/25" in the corner so I knew they had to be just days away.

My mouth is watering already.

Last time this happened the closest Popeyes was like 40 miles away. Wasn't worth it. Just last month they finally opened one in my town, so I can't wait to do this.
