Her lead (?) single
HONEY ft KAYTRANADA
Isn't Higher meant to sound like she is drunk?
That is what I got from it. I mean, she started with something about whiskey making her looking pretty (which she doesn't need to, she is pretty already).

Sis what do you make of this Tidal mess
Eagerly waiting for the Apple Music release... I refuse to listen on TIDAL so I guess I'm just gonna keep waiting...
A bit sad though that people are disssapointed with this album
You could have downloaded it from tidal. I don't think many people are listening on there.
The deluxe is out tomorrow/tonight. I'm expecting A Night and Nothing's Promised
eek poor haMau ®;193544505 said:Deluxe tracks already leaked.

Mau sis... are you going to be ok?Mau ®;193545873 said:ANTi is trash. Y'all need to realize.
Yeah, but Beyonce didn't have to abandon her entire pop foundation to gain some authenticity. Blow, Partition, Flawless, etc. are fucking bops.I need to give it another listen today but my first impression was similar to listening to BEYONCÉ. Raw, honest, musically mature, and makes her older work seem archaic and inauthentic in comparison.

Rihanna delivered not a single bop in her quest for "maturity" and ends up looking less authentic as a result. No one's going to flock to her tour to hear these new tracks because they're boring as shit, whereas Rihanna herself is anything but.
That all these songs exist side by side reaffirm that Rihanna is our least aesthetically consistent — least aesthetically committed? — major pop star. At this stage of her career, music may be the least essential brick in her house. And as Rihanna has made clear time and again, not only is the sum greater than the parts, but the sum might also have nothing to do with the parts whatsoever.

BEYONCE has the much more superior Drake collab.
Anything with Drake is mediocre.
My favorite on the albumWhat are you willing to do?

Yup, I couldn't even finish Woo and Same Ol' Mistakes.Desperado, Never Ending, Yeah, I Said It and Kiss It Better kinda slay tbh. Close To You and Love On The Brain are also decent. Higher, Same Ol' Mistakes and Woo are a mess. Think most of the stuff will actually grow on me after listening more often, but I don't really see that much single material in there that could smash on radio tbh.

I think this album is 7.5/10. I kinda miss pop Rihanna tbh, what am I going to drunkenly dance to now?
Rihanna
Beyoncé
Lady Gaga
Britney Spears
Lorde
Katy Perry
Christina Aguilera
One album down. Hew's gonna deliver the best pop album this year tho?
