Like drag ha if you want for her "fakeness" but she's done a hell of a lot more than other celebs who claim to love the LGBT community.
Being a shill discredits every so called ingenuous thing she's ever done. Her entire career was molded around her being the "other" so that she could obtain maximum profit. Being sanctimonious over which popstar has ~helped the world~ the most is really tired at this point; she's not worthy of any genuine praise.

you're welcome to believe that but I don't. I had literally 0 people in my life who told me that being not-straight was okay and I am 100% sure that I wouldn't be either happy or alive today if she hadn't come along and told me to ignore all that. Even if you don't believe that she's genuine, you can't discredit the amount of hope she's given so many people around the world.

I agree and I actually like part of the imagery of Perry, but we canT deny that some people fall over themselves to criticize black artists for making the same kind of songs, like if when a white girl talks about sex she is empowering females all around the world and when a black girl does the same thing she is degrading all their peers.

Why hasn't Britney received her own Halftime performance yet? As Iconic as some perceived her to be within the 2000's, I'd expected one sooner or later. The only time I remember seeing her on the field was 2001's halftime show.

Her discography and imagery over the years has been so iconic that she'd have an amazing show, but I don't think she has the confidence anymore to perform for such a large crowd.

1st of all, and I'm saying this as a non-fan of her to the point of loathing, Katy absolutely KILLED IT @ the Superbowl last night. I wasn't excpecting much since 2013 and 2014 shows were complete GARBAGE and I tuned in just to see my girl Missy (who also slayed *.*) but man WHAT a show. 2nd best half-time show ever. It caused me to re-evaluate my opinion of Katy and go revisit PRISM which is actually quite a fun little bubblegum pop album
2nd, I LOVE how Katy @ the Superbowl turns into a discussion about Gaga flopping. Everything seems to turn into a discussion about Gaga flopping, y'all can't stop talking about her. I guess Gaga's the REAL queen of POPGAF, not Moo-Moo. Slay.
3rd I can't wait for Gaga's comeback later this year. I fully expect the turncoats in here to come running back to her open arms to stan her once her next era drops.

Just watched the performance and I agree Katy had a really good set. Great to see Missy Elliot looking healthy and put on an electric performance. Not sure how Kravitz got the call but he did well.

No, Gaga will never happen again, her ArtPop and antics during that messy era proved to be VERY effective in eroding her image and she will not reach the peaks of her previous eras. She will make some cute bops here and there but the buying public is noT here for her.3rd I can't wait for Gaga's comeback later this year. Everyone is allowed one flop era. The public is dimwitted and fickle, not hard to make a comeback if you have the talent and Gaga has the talent and a bit of green puke and some messy interviews ain't gonna end her career. I've had numerous friends ask me whatever happened to Gaga, they haven't heard from her since her hip accident lmao so a lot of the public wasn't even aware of the Artpop messiness. All she needs is one solid lead single and a video to match and she'll be a pop force again, mark my words.

They very much are at this point. She performed facing out and unobstructed for the President a while back, and she should have dropped the entire act after that.
If she really has such strong anxiety or fear that performing/fame will lead to her mental/emotional problems and addictions resurfacing, then she should step back altogether. Or get a better support system, really.

I don't think it's about anxiety anymore. Well, not completely. That was earlier in her career prior to writing songs for other artists but after being told she had to promote in whatever way the record company wanted her to, regardless of how she felt.
A few months back, she had an interview with Howard Stern where she flat out stated that it's because this time around, it's going to be on her terms; that she's going to see how much she can get away with. She knows her popularity is going to be limited to a few years so she wants to take advantage of it and do whatever the hell she wants -- and it amuses her to no end that she's gotten away with it.
Admittedly, though, I don't care for these performances myself. I mean, they're sometimes cute, but I like watching an artist interact with the audience and unless the performance piece is spot on, it gets boring.
