Real talk for a second, though. I like Glassheart (the album). Should I dip my toes into the rest of Leona's discography? I mean all I really know is Bleeding Love from Spirit and My Hands from Echo.

What I'm asking is, are Spirit and Echo on the same level as Glassheart?

IMO they are better albums than Glassheart. Glassheart aint bad (Still enjoyable) but I know Leona has more than that and it was disappointing for me. Also the way the singles were handled was terrible IMO.

"Bleeding Love" aside, Spirit is by the numbers trash. It was dated the second it came out.

Echo is a little uneven, but its highs ("Can't Breathe"/"Brave"/"Outta My Head") are as good as Glassheart's best. Personally though, Glassheart (the album) is when Leona became a true recording artist for me (as opposed to only being a superlative live performer).

I wanted more dance tracks by Leona. She showed she is capable of doing good ones on Glassheart but her ballads which are usually her strongest part could have been more memorable. As I said Glassheart still remains a good album but I expected a bit more from her at that time. I hope she gets her stuff together for the new album and no sabotaging her with the singles. Trouble was a terrible first single and Lovebird while cute there was better material on the album.

The level of production on the album was a little lacking in the non-dance tracks too. She needs to work with more forward-thinking producers.

I've been absolutely SLAYED recently by the resurgence of lush, orchestral soundscapes in pop music. My 2013 highlight is Honeymoon Avenue, not necessarily for the vocals, but for the absolutely incredible level of intricate production and layering. From Boyz II Men in the background to the subtle traffic noises to the slowly climaxing violin to that breathtaking ending, it's so refreshing to hear backing instrumentals that aspire to be more than window dressing, which unfortunately describes a lot of Leona's level of production (and why Sugar/Come Alive were so shockingly good).

Glassheart is indeed a good album. Coming from someone who both knows nothing about and cares not for Leona Lewis I can say it's a fun listen.

Glassheart and Fireflies are amazing songs.

Stop The Clocks (I have no fewer than three unreleased GH 1.0 tracks that would have been way better filler choices), When It Hurts, Lovebird.

I would like Trouble more if I didn't have to associate it with the painful memory of it being the lead single...

Aw, I have a weird thing for Lovebird. It really showcases her voice and I think it's just a cute stuffy ballad. It's good for what it is.

Wut? That thread was about the song and how awful it was. Not just the lyric.

Also, I think Miley IS being sincere. That's the difference. I'm not praising her for something I drag other people for. Beyonce literally IS fraudulent. She's been dragged to court and forced to settle multiple times for it.
