Did the Lorde lie?
I don't get the opulence remark regarding Lana. Her music may have some opulent aspects to it, but at its heart it's very simple and doomed love centered.
Lorde needs to stop giving interviews until she matures more tbh.
I just spoiled the Lightning Returns ending and I am LITERALLY howling
In the first movie she totally doesn't, but by the beach scene she realizes that she's actually developing feelings for him. She obviously has them for Gale too. THE DRAMA IS REAL.
PM me the deets, sis. I could use a good cackle.
well, shit. I'm gonna need to see the movie to judge how much bullshit is involved, because as far as I can tell it's like how actors 'fall in love' with each other. A little bit of shared experience here, some character/RL feeling bleeding into each other there, etc, etc... mess. >_>
Read the books, honestly. Katniss' relationship with each is definitely more defined than in the movies.

I just listened to Trouble and I'm really impressed. It's not quiiite my cup of tea, but I can totally appreciate her vocal and lyrical talent, and the music is awesome. I loved Television, Problem, and Controversey. The mix of grittiness, femininity, and sci-fi effects was really amazing. The whole album was just dripping with sleaze, mental imbalance, futurism, and sex.

Missing the biggest opportunity for promo between the VMAs and her album release? Sounds like the Britney Jean era to meWait
Where was Britney tonight?
Update, 2008: This 1980 interview is all quite true, but it entirely misses something. It must have happened at a different time, and I can't track down the piece. Here's what I remember. I had a one-on-one interview with Parton in a hotel suite. As we spoke, I found myself enveloped by her presence. This had nothing to do with sex appeal. Far from it. It was as if I were being mesmerized by a benevolent power. I left the room in a cloud of good feeling. Next day, Siskel and I were sitting next to each other on an airplane. "This will sound crazy," he said, "but when I was interviewing Dolly Parton, I almost felt like she had healing powers."
What Dolly did was to come in with her brash, unaffected personality and sweep away all that paranoia in a rush of good will. It left everybody standing around afterward feeling a little goofy.
Christina on a Gaga track? No thank you.
So who slayed and who failed last night? I didn't see most of the performances.

Okay I'm watching all the (relevant) AMAs performances and will post my impressions afterwards.

+ Open with a paragraph about the current state of the industry. How image and having a good team is now more important than having TALENT. The days of TALENT are now GONE and I'm sad.
+ GAGA slays your faves. Performance truly shows why she's above all other girls and completely embodies her panache and bravado as performer. Best performance of the night and of the era and of the forever until the next Gaga performance.
+ Rihanna was horrible. She doesn't deserve the ICON award. She's not iconic, nor influential and I hate her so much I'm seething you have no idea just how much!!!
+ Nothing else truly matters after Gaga
+ A few lines about how Bey would've slayed the night and how the industry needs someone like her but instead she remains a legacy touring act.
Rihanna was horrible though, they all were.
