Was a full moon last night, explains so much. Still out in all it’s glory this morning.
apparently emergency services are under extra stress on the full moon and my wife says all the children at school are extra crazy around this time.

some of you think that thing is a piece of rock just floating there coincidentally rotating at just the right speed so that we only see one side. You think that even though it’s the same size as the sun in the sky, the sun is actually 400 times bigger and 400 times further away.

Israel and India had probes this year that went round earth for weeks on their way to the moon, the perfect chance to film the earth from deep space which no one has done since 1972. They didn’t film it. Think about it.

I'm not getting too deep into this.... but a flat earth had to form right? Walk me through the formation process that fits with the universe you can see through any telescope. I have a cheap $200 scope and I can easily see Saturn, Jupiter, the moons around Jupiter and so on. All of which have shadows perfectly consistent with spheres. None of which remotely resemble flat discs or whatever flat earthers think that planets really look like.
A flat earth has so many very easy to understand problems with basic logic that it's hard ...very hard, to not resort to ridicule.

The first step would to be to learn what a flat earther actually thinks.
Not trying to be rude back, but you probably don’t know where I’m coming from, you only have an idea of what I think based on what the government has made you think.
When you type in flat earth into the internet, you get all the same stuff that purposely comes across as stupid to stop you from looking into it further.

But we have you, if it's not a pizza shape, does it stretch out for infinity? We can probe the interior of earth using sound waves. We see a solid core, with a molten outer core, a mantel and a crust. Is it all lies? What profit is the lie? How does GPS work if the earth is flat? Where do seasons come from on a flat earth? How about tides? How did the moon form? How did a shuttle get back to the same continent it launched from without doing a 180 and turning around? Sound waves from nuclear explosions circle the earth many times... how does that work on a flat earth? ..

This is half of the problem with this topic, people don't care to understand what their opponent's position even is. You go to Youtube and search flat earth, and wow, big surprise! You don't find much in favour of flat earth, despite there being a lot of pro flat earther videos on YT, but you will find plenty of amateur scientist bugmen like Dave here at the top of your search results to feed you the approved arguments.

I thought this was a pretty interesting video of a Flat Earther asking a renowned astrophysicist some questions. This is the kind of thing I want to see more of, a FE researcher asking direct questions to a respected scientist. This doesn't happen because nobody even wants to legitimize the discussion - this guy had to get the interview under false pretenses just to be able to ask these questions, and had to tiptoe around the idea of FE so she would consider his questions and answer them. I think many of his questions are great and deserve answers. Refute them instead of ridiculing them.

It's one thing to poke and make fun, it's another to question the foundations of human knowledge, utilizing others fiction as fact. That video you posted was interesting and invokes thought on some of the Apollo missions, but to think we've never been to the moon is absurd. I personally have a feeling that what was televised was not what actually happened, but it happened. 2024 looks promising and I look forward to it.
