Yup. I already use Bluetooth headphones anyway. The headphone jack is useless to me.I'm cool with this. One less port for water to get in.
In the future, phones won't have batteries. You just leave them connected to the charger units all the time to use them.
Actually, that's more or less how most people I know use small iPhones already. Only the Plus versions have batteries which can last a whole day.
I getcha. Personally I'm not worried about the ice caps melting.
It hasn't actually happened yet, after all.
You know what else is ubiquitous? Bending your phone.
Mini-DP, Thunderbolt, USB 3.1, MagSafe v2, etc.
Spell it out for me, I'm pretty slow.
You said you're not worried about something that hasn't happened, yet there is pretty decent evidence that it's being worked towards, I said I'm not worried about something that hasn't happened, despite there being pretty good evidence that it's what we're headed towards.
Maybe I don't understand strawmen very well?
Is it because you think your speculation is more valid than mine?
It's a strawman because you intentionally exaggerated and misrepresented my post while also removing the rest of the context it was written in.
It's pretty obvious that the global scientific consensus on climate change is not equivalent to a unnamed source from a blog post you likely can't read.
I didn't make any speculation in my post.
What's new?
It's thinner.
You know those sturdy ubiquitous headphone jacks, this is the opposite. Amazing right!
You know what else is amazing, 16GB of storage in 2016.

Not a chance. They need an absolute stranglehold on the mobile market to pull something like this,
I think they definitely have the power to enact new standards but it's going to be a tough sell. Not a chance. They need an absolute stranglehold on the mobile market to pull something like this,
They can go fuck themselves if true. Would seriously consider switching over.
Nice to see Apple finally catching up to Nintendo on hardware design.
I would imagine Apple is attempting to remove corded headphones altogether. Goes off the trademarks of AirPods two months ago: http://www.macrumors.com/2015/10/01/airpods-trademark/
Good riddance I say. I cannot stand corded headphones and if it weren't for spotty transmission in wireless sets, I would have dumped normal headphones a long time ago.
We all say this, and then this phone will break sales records still.
Apple is either a genius or a certified wacko.
Having a cult-like following of hundreds of millions, you really couldn't expect it not to.
So if android moves to bluetooth, I expect prices for bluetooth headphones and earbuds to drop a shitload by the time those particular phones hit the market. When it comes to phones in general, it's only a matter of time before you won't have much choice but to go with the fecal flow.
wasn't this a thing with the last iPhone? Until the phone cases leak, I call nope
Funny thing is this older guy(60s) was complaining about that 16gb space. 64 should be the standard now imo. What's new?

This is the kind of thing that would make me switch to android if true.
