Bella Ramsey Rumored For ‘Big’ Marvel Role

Give her a body costume and she would be perfect for the next jurassic movie

This role would be too small for her forehead to make it believable.

Its still so weird seeing people mocking someone's looks this much. Ok you didn't like her as Ellie because you don't think she looks the part. Why mock her now when we don't even know who she would play? Its just a rumor.

I haven't seen any of The Last of Us show, so people not liking her performance in that is the reason for all this stuff?
Kind of. In any episode where she plays a younger Ellie, she does a pretty good job.

In any episode where she has to play an adult Ellie who has aged in an apocalypse for 5 years or more, she does a much worse job. She has no gravitas (or whatever the hell word that needs to be said) in order to fill the shoes of adult Ellie.

They should have replaced the role to represent the age gap. They didn't. The quality of the show suffered due to this + childlike writing.

Ah ok, it does seem like it's ramped up online this season.

The fixation does still seem odd though.

I have never cared about her looks.

I think she is a niche actor who is good at playing a certain box of typecast roles that are designated for her. The problem is that when she has to play a role outside of that box, she underperforms. I think her agent is trying to make sure she isn't constantly put in typecast roles, when that agent should be doing the exact opposite.

Sometimes it's okay 🤷‍♂️ Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham do it all the time and it brings them a good check.

She could just play the 'brash little girl' role, for as long as she looks as young as she does, and she would be just fine earning quite a lot of money doing so.

I think the only thing I've seen her in is Game of Thrones. But that was quite a small role and fit within what you're saying her strengths are.

The stuff about her looks is strange since it doesn't seem like she's done anything actually offensive. But I guess some people like to have a target and since season 2 aired recently she's the current designated one.

Give Bella Ramsey a chiropractor now

Because she is about to carry a franchise, a fandom, 8 fases, and 13 multiverse timelines on one spine made of spite

It seems that way but she got a lot of praise from her performance in season 1. There was some criticism online but the reception was very positive. Big part of the viewers (maybe even most) haven't played the games and she is Ellie to them.

She was too angry and bitter as the young sweet Ellie.
Thankfully the showrunners saw she couldn't carry the show without Joel and put Dina front and center over her.

For starters, the idea of having the same actress for young Ellie and adult Ellie is dumb. It's just not feasible, whoever the actress is. Bella just makes it even worse due to her looks and acting.

I have feeling she will get the role of Galacta.

Not sure how big that character is nowadays in Marvel fandom, but maybe they literally mean big.

Some people legitimately never left their high school phase and still view the world and interact with others in that manner sadly.

Funny thing is if she was playing kitty, it would be a white goofy young looking brown haired girl playing a white goofy young looking brown haired girl(kitty was incredibly goofy when she debuted) You'd think that would be on point casting for these folks.

She has Daniel Radcliffe syndrome. Popped up in Game of Thrones in a role that was surprisingly well written given how shit the series was at that point, and could get away with the terrible acting based on the fact she was about 10. Carries on getting cast, and the acting has not improved.

This is the biggest issue. It was cute when she was 14 on GOT. It didn't matter then. People were wanting Caitlin devers as ellie for years; she kinda looks like ellie and her body type is actually ellies.

Bella still.looks and acts like a 15 year old. It's not convincing at all. I thought she was OK in the 1st season as long as she wasn't actually compared to game ellie. As a stand alone character she would have been fine but she's based on a huge character

Nicolas Cage, being 100000 times a better actor, has been mocked a million times and didn't need white knights to gaslight people into believing that he was a good fit for every role, which he wasn't.

I'll gas up Nicholas cage plenty of times, but I've never seen him get anywhere near this kind sof flack for any role. Especially not a role he isn't even confirmed for.

This isnt about implying an actress isn't fit for a role is mocking her ability to ger any role at all. Thats what makes it ridiculous

I think the issue is that she's a bloody awful actress and considering she isn't also attractive, evidently there is some sketchy reason why she's being pushed into stardom.

Is there? I remember people liking her in Game of Thrones. That was a minor role but I remember thinking "yeh that makes sense" when I heard they cast her as Ellie in LoU. Looking at her filmography on IMDB it's not like she's been in lots of stuff so there's not this concerted effort to push her onto people.

What would the sketchy reason even be?

You must have missed all the praise she got from the season 1 of TLOU. Yes there are many game fans who didn't like her but many thought she was great too.

Like it or not, I want my fantasy escapism leads (at least the heroes and heroines) to be very physically attractive.

I can just go out into the real world if I want to see (fellow) ugly people.

And I'm not alone in that.

Something behind a mask where we don't need to see her face. Ideally even a character that does not speak. Taskmaster would have been a good option.

Is The Last of Us escapism?

In got she just had to look grumpy all the time, she never had any range to begin with.

Well, she's a big name now. And I realize she ain't a looker, and it seems all the big studios are going out of their way to cast homely women in lead roles all the sudden. So I believe the biggest role for her is a X-men movie, and she'll probably get the choicest part - which means Jean. If they're going by age though, probably Kitty Pride. Which I hate, because I don't think she's talented enough to be one of my favorite characters.
