PPSSPP 0.75 released

Same. I don't even know what the latest firmware is to jailbreak.

Well, I believe there is an iOS 6.1.3 jailbreak but it's tethered. For perfect jailbreaks, you need to be 6.1.2 or lower.

Edit: Ghost of Sparta runs at 2 FPS lol. I haven't even gotten to the main menu yet. Maybe I should lower the rendering resolution...

Just tried it on my iPad and it works fine. There is some audio issues (everything plays, just somewhat choppy), but the gameplay itself is perfectly fine on my iPad 2. I'd imagine it'd run amazingly on a newer model.

I'll try out my iPhone 4 in a bit, just need to get my old MemStick from my PSP and find my P3P saves.

Edit: Oh, and pictures soon.

Enabling frameskip cleaned up most of the choppy audio playback on my Android.

decided to give this a go.

Class of heroes, on my xperia z.

Just tried getting P3P to run on my iPhone 4. Got to the main menu, then tried to load a save and it just froze. So I'm just gonna say it won't work on anything that's an iP4 or older lol

I'm loving this on my GS3 with a PS3 controller bluetooth using this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller

all the inputs map flawlessly

That app is great for both games and emulators that support it and those that don't thanks to it's mapping options. It's really well thought out.

I wish someone made a collapsible and adjustable (like the MOGA which supports up to the Note 2) connector for the Dualshock 3. The GameKlip is fine if you have a SGS3, but for other phones you need a case permanently attached to the clip. It makes for a bulky solution that doesn't follow you to your next device. My phone is a slider so there's no gel case, which means for me I'd also need a more expensive hard case with multiple pieces which turns the whole thing into a hassle.

Anybody got some Jeanne d'Arc screens?

Tried it some more with the sound/movie version. The music plays during the game and so does the opening movie. Movie has no sound though. As I remembered, the people don't show up in the opening of the game so i haven't played it more to see if it fixes itself.

Tried testing out Trails in the Sky on Oitoiff's new April 22nd build.

Played okay until after the 2nd enemy encounter (where they make you use Arts) in the tutorial sewer dungeon, then it got stuck at a black screen. Turbo button did nothing. It was running very nicely before that too!

@_@

EDIT:- As a side note, Tekken 6, DOA: Paradise and Soul Calibur are unplayable at the moment.

Tekken 6 just gets stuck at a Now Loading screen for an eternity, DOA Paradise won't even boot, and Soul Calibur boots to the main menu but nothing after that point. US versions tested for all the above games.

Would like to add that Ridgeeee Racerrrrr (US version) also works with the aforementioned build.

This is surprisingly one of the more demanding (if PSP games could be demanding lol) games.. ran at only 44 FPS on my system during a race (Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz and a Radeon 4670) until I turned off 2xSSAA lol.

Checked GPU utilization and it was actually at 100% lol.

Could still keep the 4x rendering res and get 60 FPS. Tracks look stunning in 1080p HD, but you can really see the low res textures on the car emphasized when blown up.

EDIT:- Gods Eater Burst (US) won't even start, and freezes the emulator completely.

Anyone have tips for changing options to make a game playable? I've been trying to get Grand Knights History to work, but it keeps giving me a black screen after the opening movie.

Try using Turbo (during and towards the end) of the intro? Did you try using buttons to navigate and possibly hear if anything happened?

Compatibility is still a crap shoot. Try ticking Buffered Rendering off and on.

And yeah.. like Sajjaja said, turbo is definitely a good option to use.

On another note, although Monster Hunter Freedom 2 and Unite (US) both run perfectly (albeit with some sounds missing), both get stuck after you finish downing a unique monster/hunt, which requires an update log.

It goes to that new record screen (for the monster you just hunted), and then the time remaining inches downwards to zero..... and then... it continues on to negative time.. lol... and then keeps on going and going and going.... The game doesn't accept any inputs from my controller or the keyboard... (Clicking turbo at this point accelerates the timer onwards in negative time, there is no proceed/continue button, and since the game doesn't save at this point, progress is lost)

and on...

Reset the game.. tried the hunt again. Goes to the record screen for size of the monster hunted.. Same problem occurs again, game doesn't accept any new inputs nor does it progress.

Anyone else facing this issue in Monhun 2/Unite? Solutions? I'm using the latest build branch by Oitoiff released on the 22nd.

(The first "mock" hunt quest given by the trainer is also affected by this problem, so you can test it out there.)

EDIT:- Problem solved. Used the 0.76 official release which apparently rectified this issue. No sound at all now though, the official release doesn't work with Sonic Stage.

Finally found out this top.exe vs normal.exe.

Apparently they play the CG differently.
There two applications *_TOP.exe and *_Normal.exe, which use different ways to play CGs. The first one use the way the same as before, and the second one use the normal way as a real PSP.

I think TOP.exe is better. Because when I use normal, MHFU's intro doesnt play for me, but using TOP makes it play.

Okay thanks.

Talking about MHFU, do you get the same problem I did in my post above? (Update log issue)

I only got the problem with Oitoiff's builds but not with the official 0.76 branch.

I haven't tried it yet, been busy with finals. I'll let you know tomorrow(ish?) hopefully.

Strange. Does P3P crash for anyone else when try to load their own save? I read it's something to do with save encryption. I tried a save from GameFAQs and it loaded fine.

Where's the main link to the Oitoiff branch?

Also anyone having issues with Crisis Core and dropped audio/slowdown during cut scenes?

https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/pull/997 is where I got it from.

And yes, during the cutscenes, sound lags. It only recently got cutscenes working with sound. One step at a time.

Are you using the savestates? Save states, in my experience, cause the game to crash.

Nope. Savestates are actually fine. My old PSP saves crash the game. I'm fairly certain it's due to encryption since I knew I also had save issues with the game when I had to jump around FW versions.

I wish I can decrypt my saves right now. I left my PSP back home.

Apparently, and I have no way of knowing for myself, you can use JSPCSP to decrypt. What, I don't exactly know but I read it from here: http://www.emunewz.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=137863

EDIT: What does it mean to decrypt anyways?

That link is in regards to audio encoding/decoding.

The issue is that some PSP games create save files that are deliberately encrypted so they're only usable with a specific system (to prevent others from using it). JPCSP does have an option to use encrypted saves, but nothing that actually modifies them for use elsewhere

Yep MHFU works wonderfully with 0.76 official release. Just did another 3 more hunts back to back. All works as expected; no hang ups at the record update log screen.

I forgot how much this game is like pure, unadulterated crack. Hours and hours gone without one noticing.

With sound? Which sounds can you hear?

Very nice, will be playing lots of MHP3 when it becomes compatible.

Are the save files (near) identical to a real PSP's?

Been playing P3P on my phone and it works wonderful. Hiccups only maybe around 5% of the time, but it still occasionally freezes when using save states. Some graphical glitches here and there. For example, the status display on enemies is bugged if you're targetting with attacks or spells, but it's fine when you're targeting with Analyze.

They're pretty much the same. You can copy paste them around.

No sound lol, at this point it's either no hang ups with no sound (official release), or some sound and a guaranteed hang up at the result log screen after a boss hunt, which definitely renders the game unplayable. (with the alternative branch).

On another note, MHFU's control scheme that forced players to employ 'the claw' on the PSP is thankfully not an issue on the PC, even with the 360 controller.

Since the default controls map the D-Pad to the 360's D-Pad (unfortunately not rebindable at this time) and the keyboard's arrow keys, I just fired up Xpadder (or Joytokey), created a new profile for MHFU, mapped the keyboard arrow keys to the previously ununsed right analogue stick, and viola, no more claw, proper dual analogue controls ftw.

I did this too. After playing the game on the vita with 2 analog sticks, no way i'm going back to the claw.

Did some further testing on Tekken: DR. (on the x86 Windows version of PPSSPP)

Found out that the life bar issue I had earlier (not game breaking, but annoying since you can't see who's winning in fights), can be fixed by disabling hardware transform in the options.

Disabling hardware transform for Tekken DR also brought back some other previously hidden elements in the UI, like Rank (for Tekken Dojo), promotions (after winning a ranking match) and a few other minor things.

No loss in performance either. 60 VPS maintained. Looks like my CPU(?) is still good enough to perform transform in software.

TL:DR, Tekken DR is now visually flawless with everything set to default (including 2xSSAA and 4x rendering res) except for Hardware Transform which must be disabled for the Life bars to work (Green portions don't display/drain properly with HT on, you only ever see the red portions).

Been trying this out with Castlevania The Dracula X Chronicles but it seems the game gets stuck at the loading screen when I'm going to fight the first boss. Is there a way to fix this?

When in doubt, turbo.

Anyone have issues in with persona 3 on android? It freezes for me after the Atlus and Crytek logos appear.

I think others have gotten around it by disabling buffered rendering until they get into the menu and then turning it back on. That hasn't worked for me, but I create a save state when I exit and load from that before the freeze. If it doesn't work for you trying downloading an older build, loading the game, saving (emulator menu, not in-game), and then upgrading to a current build.

I was able to get around this by turning on "Media Engine" and "Buffered Rendering" then after the second logo comes up hit start and you should get to the menu.

:) You're welcome

Gracias, mi amigo.

On a separate note, MHFU has yet another (minor) issue; if you've just completed an Offline Gathering Hall quest and return to your home right after via the city, you'll get a black screen that does not resolve itself. Have to reset and and reload. Fortunately you don't lose progress as it's saved after the quest is done.

Also, that update log issue (right after you've downed a boss) occasionally recurs even on the official release, especially after you've played for an extended amount of time, so just to be on the safe side, I often save and reset the emulator right before a major hunt.

have any of you guys tried this on your android devices?

I get 60FPS with SFA3 Max. Gundam vs Gundam Next Plus is around 8 to 16 FPS on Galaxy S2. Would a better cell phone hardware wise be able to run these better.

My PoP TFS still doesn't work. :( *sigh*
