Audio version causes a big performance hit... with Wipeout Pulse I get near constant 60 fps during races with the silent version, but with the music version I only get around 45 fps on average.
Should be better in future releases. Audio does have a major impact on lower end hardware currently.
My hardware isn't low end lol, I have a 2600K.
Ahhh kay, I stand corrected, sorry for the assumption. Hmm.. hopefully it's just an optimization issue then.
By silent version, you're referring to the official 0.75 release yes?
With the version that Durante linked, the video and audio work on Crisis Core. Though the VO do cut out a bit, it's still much much better.
It does? My game got stuck after the 1st cutscene on the train with Zack. What are your settings, do you mind sharing them?
Well, for the beginning, I had to play through using the super slow JCPSP in order to get into the base. You need a save in order to play it in PPSSPP as far as I know. If you want, I could upload my save file I have now. It just passed the first train mission and the basic tutorial.
This message may have some alternate links for the Sony Sound System thing.
Hmm. Maybe not.
Oh okay, thanks for the explanation. Wouldn't mind the savefile if it's not too much trouble, thanks in advance.![]()
Ok, so I downloaded the 87mb soundstage program, installed it, restarted my comp, and currently have it running. How do I get sound in games? 3rd Birthday still has no COM audio.
EDIT: I am using the build Durante linked.
I just tried little big planet and wipeout pulse, and both run at 60fps with music and a few graphical glitches (the quake weapon from wipeout erased the track :lol):
So is there a way I can play Type-0 in English with this yet?
Oioitff (the maker of the version Durante posted) uploaded another one today with a slight tweak to some decoder.

Just found it here: https://github.com/hrydgard/ppsspp/pull/997
Well, i didn't do anything special, in fact i didn't touch anything except the 2x SSAA.how did you get lbp running like that? for me its just a blue background with one brown texture.

What kind of CPU do you need to play at a good framerate? Also it seems to be progressing way faster than the Java emulator.

ah its working now - anyway to get music?
if anybody wants sonicstage it's up on sony vaio ftp site here:
ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/pub/Downloads/SO/A/SST/SOASST-01198207-UN.exe
Thanks for that, it's much bigger than the older 4.3 one though. (87MB vs 36MB)
I've decided to upload the older Sonic Stage 4.3 CP standalone installers (which worked for JPCSP) for any gaffers still interested in it:-
Sonic Stage 4.3 CP
Download it, extract using 7zip or Winrar, and run installers in folders SsSetup and SsAddon. Other folders contain installers for the extra optional components (bloatware). Install them if you want.
MonHun Freedom Unite time. Looks really good, but some sounds don't work yet.
Nope, i didn't change anything. How did you manage to get the UI elements to appear properly? Any changes to the settings?
So much for Crisis Core working. The game hangs when you get to the scene where Angeal talks to Zack about dumbapples in Wutai forest. People on PPSSPP forums also having same problem.
EDIT: I got passed it. I used the turbo through the dialogue and it brought me passed that scene.

Yea, this has been fixed after the release of 7.5 . I'm releasing 7.6 shortly, in the meantime you can try git builds from http://www.ppsspp.org/downloads.html#devbuilds .
I find that turbo gets through lots of bugs. Lol.
Holding Tab down worked? Incredible.
Awesome, the emulator scene on android looks way better than a year ago.
Sucks nobody is making a phone with actual controllers tho![]()
The PSP is the absolute easiest hardware to rip your own games on. With custom firmware, it is literally as simple as pressing select on the home screen, changing the media from "memory stick" to "UMD" and then connecting the PSP to your computer via USB. It presents an ISO file to you in the window and you copy it off. It's that easy.
In a typical PPSSPP directory there are two executables, PPSSPPWindows_Normal.exe and PPSSPPWindows_Top.exe.
Not sure, but that's not from a typical build, sounds like another branch's doing. Windows ppsspp just has a ppssppwindows.exe
Install Sonic Stage.
installed both setups - still no music.
do i have to enable anything inside the emu?
