My lord what is going on here.Disgusting. Not what the preacher said because he has a right to free speech but to the girl who illegally assaulted him with a freaking aluminum bat in the head. Could have killed the guy. Did he deserve that? Fuck no. And to the people cheering, fuck them. None of those people are real Christians.
Think about what you are saying. No thanks to some bullshit speech laws. I prefer freedom.
Very irresponsible that this guy has been doing such a thing at high schools of all places. There's laws against menacing and harassment.
Defense force for hate speech. My lord what is going on here on here.
I'm not comfortable with this stigmatising of mental illness.
Just because somebody is a reprehensible cunt doesn't mean they are mentally ill.
Lol yes the US is the only country with freedom because you can call for women to be raped in front of high schools. Every other western country basically is just a hell hole without freedom because they have hate speech laws.
Freedom...
He was on the sidewalk.
US laws protect this shit
No, you invented a mental illness he supposedly has and then likened what the girl did to abusing a handicapped person.I'm basically saying the guy is mentally ill and assaulting him is not going to improve his mentality. In addition the girl now has a criminal record, which does not help her. But in the end he probably won't preach outside the school anymore so it might be a net positive.
Defense force for hate speech.
He wasn't speaking at some speaking event, he was there to intimidate, harass and or menace people/minors.He was on the sidewalk.
US laws protect this shit
That doesn't work because I'm not the one whose arguing there was escalation going on, you bargain bin socrates wannabe.
I have to say, the extent to which you use words you clearly do not understand is astounding.
If I was trying to 'sneak in' the argument that I am arguing for violence when I don't actually believe that, that would be arguing in bad faith. When I affirm that I am actually arguing what I'm arguing, that is by definition an affirmation of faith in the argument being had. You're just disagreeing with me really, really hard in addition to being unable to process more than 60% of any given post.
I'm done with you, but given how presumtuous, condescending, and outright pretentious you have been through this entire exchange, I wish the TOS let me be ruder.
That is actually freedom though. I cherish it. I feel lucky to be born in the US.
I can't imagine having to worry about going to jail for what I say.
The definition of mental illness is flexible though, reprehenisbly cuntish behaviour is not listed as a disorder in the DSM but maybe it should be. The disorders in the DSM are literally just voted on by a bunch of psychiatrists anyway so it's kinda arbitrary. I'm not trying to stigmatize sufferers of mental illness, far from it. If depression is a mental illness then I'm a sufferer myself. I'm trying to say that battering people over the head is not something to be encouraged or celebrated. I'll drop the language of mental illness though since it's obviously quite inflammatory language. I'm not trying to equate the preacher to people who suffer from schizophrenia or bipolar or anything else. Though I do think he is delusional, arguably all religious people are but that's besides the point. I'll just say that the preacher is sick, seriously. Yes, he was abusing the kids and yes he needed to be stopped -- preferably by the police who could issue a restraining order. But the guy is still sick, he's a victim of religious extremism and one way to prevent problems like this from occurring in the first place would be to educate people about religion.I'm not comfortable with this stigmatising of mental illness.
Just because somebody is a reprehensible cunt doesn't mean they are mentally ill.
The authors of the DSM 'invent' mental illnesses all the time, only a few decades ago LGBT people were considered mentally ill, now these days particularly energetic kids are ADHD because they can't sit down for 8 hours in school, so they get sedated. I'll drop that terminology though and just say the guy is sick. Obviously he needed to be stopped and what he was doing was harmful. Battering him shouldn't be celebrated, dude could've been killed, that's not tit for tat. Guy needs to be scheduled mandatory appointments with an LGBT counselor or something. Let him develop a friendship with the counselor where they advise him and try to improve his life and stuff. He comes to respect and rely on the counselor then boom, the counselor reveal they're gay and he has to rethink his opinions or somethingNo, you invented a mental illness he supposedly has and then likened what the girl did to abusing a handicapped person.
Or as I abbreviated it, "garbage".
That is actually freedom though. I cherish it. I feel lucky to be born in the US.

For everyone clutching their pearls about the attack, go to the next NAACP, BLM, or any Black organizational gathering in town and hold up a "You deserve to be lynched" sign and see how people react to your opinion.

It's FREEDOM, baby!So wait, just to be absolutely clear: you're saying those advocating for rape should just be allowed to go to a school and advocate for the rape of its students?
People are acting like they didn't try tolerating him. He was there for years. It's not like he opened his mouth once and this woman just went berserk.
Glendale, Arizona preacher Brother Dean Saxton makes it a habit to stand outside local high schools and loudly condemn students and members of the LGBT community. ABC15 reports he often also holds a sign that reads, You deserve to be raped.
LOL. Did I say y'all would have Negan'd him? My point was, would you take that as a difference of opinion or as a threat?Seeing as I attend NCAACP meeting monthly in jacksonville, I can tell you none of us would go across a protesters head with a bat. How is this being rationalized. Bet your ass has never attended a meeting, but want to speak for us. Don't do that shit
A smarter cop and judge would've known what to do to stop a man yelling at children they deserve rape.I'm well aware.
You are now coming to see what happens when there are no hate speech laws.
He wasn't arrested because tragically what he was doing wasn't illegal in the US.
Literally WBC is legally allowed to go to your funeral (well on the sidewalks around it) with signs that say God Hates Fags because there's no law stopping them.
LOL. Did I say y'all would have Negan'd him? My point was, would you take that as a difference of opinion or as a threat?
And how do I join up and attend meetings anyway? I'm looking to get politically active as soon as I wipe my kid's last diaper.
So wait, just to be absolutely clear: you're saying those advocating for rape should just be allowed to go to a school and advocate for the rape of its students?
God. Not on school grounds. Hell no.
God. Not on school grounds. Hell no.
You seem to be emphatically against that, but a street away from school grounds easily visible to people going in and out is okay? Is there a difference outside of principle?God. Not on school grounds. Hell no.
A smarter cop and judge would've known what to do to stop a man yelling at children they deserve rape.
.Eh. Considering he LITERALLY was advocating violence (he was condoning rape), he deserved to met with violence.
That's pretty much always been my "red line" when it comes this sort of thing. Richard Spencer deserved to get punched in the face because he was LITERALLY advocating for genocide (or as he called it, "soft ethnic cleansing").
If this preacher didn't like being assaulted, then he shouldn't have LITERALLY been advocating the committing of sexual assault.
This guy was targeting schools specifically, so you can see what you're trying to defend...God. Not on school grounds. Hell no.
Think about what you are saying. No thanks to some bullshit speech laws. I prefer freedom.

Nah, he was asking for it.She committed assault with a deadly weapon. If she's lucky they won't throw attempted murder charges at her. She deserves to be arrested.
Either it's legal to physically assault someone using their free speech right or its not. I hope the courts figure this one out.
Harassment and threats are not free speech.Either it's legal to physically assault someone using their free speech right or its not. I hope the courts figure this one out.
"I prefer freedom" says dude on a country that has enacted the Patriot Act, one of the worst infringers of freedom, and seemingly not many Americans gave a shit about those freedoms.Think about what you are saying. No thanks to some bullshit speech laws. I prefer freedom.
Either it's legal to physically assault someone using their free speech right or its not. I hope the courts figure this one out.
I'm honestly asking here, are you saying she should have killed him? They arrested the wrong person. She also didn't swing hard enough.
I'd feel sorry for the student ruining her life over it. Some fucker wishing for children to get raped though ? Not a great loss.I'm honestly asking here, are you saying she should have killed him?
Do people not realize that a blow to the brain, even with a punch, is enough to kill someone?
Play stupid games, get stupid prizes.
If your spewing hate (not freedom of speech to weirdos in here calling it freedom of speech) then you deserve whatever is coming for you.
And of course there is a defense force for the guy 🙄🙄🙄
