Not knowing your situation OP but kids don't really start getting expensive until they hit their pre-teens/teen years. Really all you are paying for the first year is formula/diapers. But you can cut those costs if your GF is a champ at breast feeding and using cloth diapers.

I never got scared, because I always wanted it to happen. Although every time my Ex freaked out, they were false alarms. Delayed periods.
Well, if she just came off BC, she's probably pretty irregular for now. 4 days isn't much, and stress (like stressing because she thinks she might be pregnant) can also throw her cycle off. Before I started hormonal BC, my cycle was anywhere from 23 (sucked) to 30 days.
You can start really freaking out if the tests come back positive. And tell your gf to be more responsible, ffs, especially if you guys aren't in a place to have a kid. It doesn't take that much discipline to set reminders or alarms to take your pills or refill them, I don't understand the people who gamble with something that is seriously SO EASY to keep track of.

Get the test with the little window on it that tells how many weeks she may be. It can pick up HCG as early as two weeks. Think it's called Clear Blue? I've used it. Very accurate.
Besides that, adoption is the best option if she's super hard-pressed against abortion. Plan B tabs work, but I think you've gotta use them within 72 hours of the big kablam.

Hmm, there's been a few in my lifetime but most recently: I was a few weeks away from packing up and moving half-way around the world, and a co-worker who liked me found out I was leaving. The very first time we hook up the condom breaks but neither of us notice until after the fact. Luckily there was no drama, she wanted me to come to Walgreens with her the next day so I could watch her take Plan B. Then we went and had milkshakes...awkward.
I had a condom break when I was 19. We didn't wait until the next day. We both got dressed and immediately went to CVS for Plan B.
The Plan B pill seems like it really sucks for a girl. She was spotting for over a week and felt pretty miserable. I switched condom brands and never had an issue again, but it had a negative effect on our sex life until we split a few months later.

You should try more condoms. I hated Trojans, but Durex Avanti Bares are awesome. My gf uses the nuvaring, and we'll still use condoms every once in a while. There's also variety tins you can get. These are fun until you end up with just the fruit ones left. They'll make your dong smell like a banana or strawberries. Not as cool as it sounds.
Time to change her mind. Clearly neither of you want a kid, so don't cripple your life with one.

I once had a girl that I had slept with on a one night stand text me to call her when I was free out of the blue a little over a month after we were together. I was utterly terrified for the entire 2 hours between receiving the text and calling her back, even though I was wearing protection. Thankfully, she just wanted to chat and see if I was free to hang out.

Congrats on the sex.
At work now, but we got a pregnancy test last night and took the advice to wait until morning to try it. She didn't sleep over last night so I'm not sure. Kind of freaking out at work lol.
