Hmm, I kinda wanted to preorder the XB1 just for the PC version.
My 280x is getting a bit long in the tooth.
This game only requires a very modest PC though. The majority of the games people truly care about will require a monstrosity of a PC when you can just buy an Xbox for a fraction of the price.
I'd say this is why MS may not be that fussed about Xbox One exclusives being on Windows.

Do i understand that right, when i preorder Quantum Break digitally now, i get Alan Wake and its DLCs + American Nightmare?
Because the wording sounds weird.
Word. Gonna preorder it through console, should be good to go. Hopefully. Those of you who have pre ordered digitally on X1, are you ordering on the console? Just want to make sure that if I preorder this on the console that it will get me the Win 10 version as well. The wording is weirdly specific with "Xbox Store".
Maybe it's for 1080p/60@Xbox One settings. How can the minimum specs be a 760? That GPU is far better than the Xbox One's hardware.
Well the phenomenon is not exactly unprecedented, they wouldn't have to research very far to see that people love cross-buy.Great move on Cross-Buy. So now I can play on my PC and my Son can play it on the Xbox. I am sure the pre-order limitation is just MS testing the waters. I am confident this will pay off for them, they just got my $60 because of this.
How the hell they recommend that minimum Specs that are better than a XBO?
You do, yes. On Xbox 360 backwards compatibility. You get American Nightmare in a week or so, and Alan Wake and it's DLC around when the game launches.
I hope they get the PC code preorder bonus to us on release day. If we have to wait as long as we did for the Gears codes....ugh
I knew people were reading too much into it.
970Dunno how I feel about my 980 GTX Ti already being the "recommended" spec.....
Fuck I only have 12gb of ram. Should really upgrade to two 8gb sticks.

I was thinking about to buy an Xbox One, but my PC is almost Ultra settings (SSD, 4790K, 32GB RAM, GTX 970).
Sooooo... Goodbye Xbox One.
What's the difference though? I assumed it was just packaging... I think I also heard apps can only run in borderless window, but I'm not sure. What are the major downsides? This game only requires a very modest PC though.
Of course, it looks like it also isn't a PC game. It's an "app". And I detest that.

If that is the case, those things aren't a major loss to me anyway. I enjoy the capability to tweak things when I feel like something has a deficiency out of the box. I'm hoping MS and Remedy have their pants on straight for this. I'm not saying this is ideal, but I don't think it needs to be a dealbreaker. If it's a sandboxed app you probably can't examine or modify the files. Probably no mods, probably no ini tweaks and such.
Yep. My thoughts exactly.Of course, it looks like it also isn't a PC game. It's an "app". And I detest that.

My 980 isn't enough? I hate PC gaming ;;
Another MS ploy of shifting Win 10 down people's throats. I mean I get it, they need people to move to it, but damn are they desperate.
Also as for the specs, although I meet the recommended specs, this doesn't actually bode well. I mean look at the all the other games that came out in the last 2 years, majority of them don't actually have proper recommended specs. Many of which needed signifantly more to play the game at prettier than console settings.
Quantum Break? Hmmm.. 980ti/Fury X? Well I wouldn't be surprised that neither cards will be enough for 60fps, much less to say at 1440p.
is it 100% confirmed??? That would be a downer , especially after the news with the final blow to GfWL accountsYep. My thoughts exactly.
QB being Windows Store only is what's putting me off big time. I'll take the usual "wait and see" approach.
RoTR Windows Store version is seriously lacking compared to Steam. *sigh*
I think specs sheets in general are useless too. Basically all they say is: You need a reasonably good computer to run it, and a really good computer to run it well. :/I'm still curious what Ultra entails. Is it 1440p/60fps? Is it like Shadow of Mordor where you needed a 6GB VRAM card to run ultra textures? Is Ultra 1080p/60fps? Is Recommended 1080p/60fps? Or is it 30fps?
I wish devs would be a bit more descriptive of what each requirement entails.
The Xbox One version is one you can count on having relatively solid performance. The PC version... it's hard to guess right now how any hardware will run it. I have a great gaming PC, but I don't have a 980 Ti. I'm sure my PC will run it better than the Xbox One, but given that until this morning I thought it was an Xbox One exclusive and I was planning on buying it... why wouldn't I take the route that gets me both versions at little to no cost or inconvenience?
It's an "app". And I detest that.
Isn't this the same for Rise of the Tomb Raider? What are people experiences with the windows store version of that?
