#TrumpWon is trending right now on Twitter. Seems like cronies like Cruz, Gingrich, and Palmer Luckey's white supremacists are trying to convince everyone Trump did well through meme magic.
Is he only referring to private conversations with Hannity, or did he do a segment on Fox where he was against the war? I guess I could understand the argument that mumbling "I guess so" on Howard Stern doesn't mean he supported the war if soon afterwards, he argued against it. Did he, though?
The challenge with Trumps claim is that we cant go back in time and get inside his head, so well never know what his private thoughts were.
However, one thing is clear: The record does not prove him right.
Trump has trouble getting past a September 2002 interview with shock jock Howard Stern. Stern asked Trump if he supported the looming invasion.
Trump responded, "Yeah, I guess so."
At the debate, Trump said he made these comments to Stern "very lightly."
Trump then noted another interview he did in January 2003, a few months before the invasion. Fox News Neil Cavuto asked Trump whether President George W. Bush should be more focused on Iraq or the economy.
"Well, he has either got to do something or not do something, perhaps, because perhaps shouldn't be doing it yet and perhaps we should be waiting for the United Nations, you know," Trump said. "He's under a lot of pressure. I think he's doing a very good job. But, of course, if you look at the polls, a lot of people are getting a little tired. I think the Iraqi situation is a problem. And I think the economy is a much bigger problem as far as the president is concerned."
So Trump put the economy ahead of confronting Iraq, but he didnt speak against going to war. At most he suggested waiting for the United Nations to do something.
A week after the United States invaded Iraq on March 19, 2003, Trump gave different takes. At an Academy Awards after-party, Trump said that "the wars a mess," according to the Washington Post. He told Fox News that because of the war, "The markets going to go up like a rocket."
Throughout 2003, Trump complained about the cost of the Iraq War and its effect on the economy.
The earliest evidence of Trumps outright opposition to the war didnt come until an August 2004 article in Esquire, more than a year after the war started:
"Look at the war in Iraq and the mess that we're in. I would never have handled it that way," Trump said.
Trump has been challenged many times in this election to explain his early acceptance of the war. In a February 2016 interview on NBCs Meet the Press, Trump said that he didnt know what he meant during his 2002 conversation with Stern.
"That was a long time ago, and who knows what was in my head." Trump said.
At the Sept. 26 debate, Trump also said he had many debates with Fox host and Trump supporter Sean Hannity prior to the Iraq invasion in which Trump opposed the invasion, and Hannity supported it.
However, they didnt have these debates on the air so we have no record of them. Hannity has said this is "100 percent true."
Just got past the NAFTA meltdown and this shit is hard to watch.
Any time he talks about Cyber, it's hilarious.
I heard "bigly" lol
I wonder if Palmer Luckey feels his $10000 political donation was worth it now. Congrats, your name is mud and your purchased a lemon.
Trump will win in November I can feel it
Nothing stops this train
Just watched it.
A rather unsurprising outcome.
Trump was a bit more calm than I expected because she baited him on many ocasions.
He has no policy whatsoever.
His answers weren't extreme for the most part which I guess makes sense.
But he doesn't feel like a career politician.
Hillary was better on policy, but rarely got into specifics, maybe she thought it's not a place for that.
She was collected but didn't feel likable. For me she lacked some more emotional response to some of the bullshit Donald was spewing on things like race.
The worst part was Lester Holt, terrible moderator. He let Trump go over time constantly and didn't push him enough when he evaded questions.
The next is a town hall format, so Hillary would probably just do the town hall without Trump. The third one, I don't know. It's a pretty unprecedented situation if Trump does decide to bail. What would happen if Trump refused to show up to a debate? Would Hillary have to debate an empty chair? Or does she just get 90 minutes of free time to lay out her platform?
Yeah, Hillary is right now where Obama was before the election. Not a place where you're safe, but if she had held that percentage, she would've still won.Except for debating someone who is incredibly qualified for the job, and coming across as a fool and a moron.
That kind of does stop the train.
And the train has never overtaken Hillary's train in the first place.

SANGER: We're under regular cyberattack. Would you use cyberweapons before you used military force?
TRUMP: Cyber is absolutely a thing of the future and the present. Look, we're under cyberattack, forget about them. And we don't even know where it's coming from.
SANGER: Some days we do, and some days we don't.
TRUMP: Because we're obsolete. Right now, Russia and China in particular and other places.
SANGER: Would you support the United States' not only developing as we are but fielding cyberweapons as an alternative?
TRUMP: Yes. I am a fan of the future, and cyber is the future.
Why the fuck is #TrumpWon trending on twitter? Did they seriously not watch that bloodbath last night? Wow.

lol at the Trump won hashtag. It's full of alt-righters posting internet polls as proof he won the debate. Considering how Trump gravitates to anything that confirms his biases, they are setting their own candidate up to ensure he doesn't do anything to change his behavior in the future debates leading him to make a fool of himself again. This is gold.
Thought the same. A tech millionaire destroying his reputation by supporting a candidate who wants to be very, very tough on cyber. Lmao.
Here you go - https://youtu.be/_aFo_BV-UzIYep.
Hillary says "cavalier", one minute later Trump says it as well. And you just fucking KNOW he just decided to incorporate it in his 20 word counting word salad. His speech pattern should be studied, it's so bizarre.
The majority of the tweets are mocking the hashtag now. The general consensus is definitely in Hillary's favor. Why the fuck is #TrumpWon trending on twitter? Did they seriously not watch that bloodbath last night? Wow.

Well, most social media seems designed to promote and facilitate intellectual laziness. So frustrating to see and hear so many comments along the lines of:
"This election is a joke"
"Both candidates are awful"
"It'd be great if a meteor took them both out and we started over"
"It's just a shouting match!"
"Nobody won. Everyone lost"
The intellectual laziness found amongst people unwilling to actually assess the substance of a debate is astonishing.

I guess so. But that word: "unprecedented". It hs been used a lot this time around, hasn't it? Not that I expect Trump to stay away. I doubt his pride would let him, especially if he gets baited right. But still... this election cycle has been weird. The next is a town hall format, so Hillary would probably just do the town hall without Trump. The third one, I don't know. Ugh they were interviewing people for reactions on NPR and this one dude said Trump was perfect last night and he likes him because he's an alpha male
Because Trump supporters don't care. They love him no matter what. It's pretty scary when you think about it. He was utterly embarrassed last night and yet, people still love him. My Trump supporting mother in law went in the next room when magma started spewing from his ears. She's still voting for him. They don't care. Let's hope enough Menials saw how unfit he is to lead. Why the fuck is #TrumpWon trending on twitter? Did they seriously not watch that bloodbath last night? Wow.

Last night, I felt reinvigorated that Hillary has this election in the bag. Now I'm back at work, and it's like reality is slapping me in the face. Every person I've asked believes Trump won. It's truly fucking bizarro land.

Nobody actually thinks that. I'm convinced the plan is to force stupid people into thinking that by just saying it on the air, rigging online polls, and tweeting that he won. It's the same thing as "Wrong. WRONG."Anyone who thinks Trump won is delusional as all hell.
Has Trump every done the blanket "go vote!" statement?
We're they already Trump supporters? If so don't worry about it. Trump supporters would think he won if he took a piss on the stage. There's no convincing those people. Early data seems to indicate that Clinton's gonna get a bump, but it remains to be seen if that is true or not.Last night, I felt reinvigorated that Hillary has this election in the bag. If they were hardcore republicans, then it means nothing. If they are swing voters, then I am sad.Last night, I felt reinvigorated that Hillary has this election in the bag. Mika on morning Joe (openly Democrat) is having a live nervous breakdown...
She admits Clinton was "pitch perfect" and that Trump was a rude flustered mess, but she still is psyching herself down that he will be perceived as winning by just being an Alpha male type.
Worst th8ng about this is, by being like that, she is helping him push that BS narrative.
I just can't shake it. I can't say it's over. Trump is different. Some people believe every single lie he told last night. He got fucking decimated and people are saying he won. That's the Trump mentality. Everyone is in denial about his lack brain juice. I wish I felt the same as you.Well sure, that's what they do.
Clinton just jumped back to 70% on ElectionBettingOdds, a +6% jump overnight. It's over, period point blank.
Yep.
