And how the fuck can the game lag when I play against my friend who lives like 10 minutes from here on a bike?! Is Seabass programming this game by himself?

jlevel13 said:hmm.. I have an i3 and a 5850 (vista32) and it has been really smooth for me - though yeah, I've been running at max settings 1080p etc... maybe it's too obvious, but are you sure your drivers are up to date? That's all I can think of.Dash Kappei said:Lucky you!
What rig are you using?
I'm on i5 750, Radeon HD5850 1Gb, 4Gb ram
I think this game could run better on NVidia, but it's probably an ATI driver issue (maybe the 2D/3D clock "bug"?).
The incredible thing as I've said is that it runs better in full hd and max settings, although I get slowdowns (not lag/frame-skips) with no reason when I'm playing on the midfield...
Dash Kappei said:Damn.
I have the latest Catalyst, also with the hotfix.
Maybe it's a Win7 64bit related problem.
whatsinaname said:Win 7 64bit here.

1920x1200 - and no stuttering.
Dash Kappei said:I have no stuttering.
I have some instances of 1 or 2 seconds of slow-mo (can't call them slowdowns, they're a bit different if you get what I mean) here and there when playing midfield passes, the game stays smooth as butter but enter slow-mo mode and gets unresponsive (obviously) enough time (1 sec?) that it can fuck up your passes/tackles and is annoying as hell.
I don't know the specific of you cpu, maybe your rig is better than mine (i5 750 + 5850 1GB.)
I dunno, is there any way to force DX11? That might fix it for me (it did for some folks here on the forum for F1 2010's similiar problem, and that is a DX9 game as well)
Steroyd said:How do you take penalties?
I sit here thinking why the flying fuck did Konami change the penalty system when it was perfect as is, I haven't scored a single penalty yet and it's soooo irritating.
Agreed.Blablurn said:best football game since PES 6.

YoungHav said:I've always liked the PES/WE soundtracks. Castelvania and other NES music is a nice touch. Remind me of my childhood. The tracks I defintely love on the soundtrack are Wumbanzanga by Konono N'1 and The Reeling by Passion Pit. The former has me practicing my African Crip Walk.
JustAnotherOtaku said:Haha yeah this years and last years had a nice, varied soundtrack. Nothing I really choose to listen to outside playing the game, but at least it's got variation
Which one was it that had the ridiculous OST that was seemingly from in-house bands at Konami or really unknown ones? I think it was PES 2007 or 2008. It had that "I want to fight, fight for the goal" song :lol
Regarding PES2011, just hit the 100 hour mark recently, with 60 hours put into my Master League. That eclipses any other game I've played this year and is a surprisingly high number considering how many other games I have bought and am playing since Pro Evo came out.
whatsinaname said:Also, scored this the other day.

KONAMI details December 21st PES 2011 DLC
Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has revealed details of a free data update for PES 2011, which will be available from December 21st.
The download will be available for PlayStation3, Xbox 360 and PC-DVD users, and adds a number of new items to the game. Twelve kits have been updated within the game, including those of the Ireland national team and some French club teams.
Similarly, ten new licensed boots styles from manufacturers such as adidas, Puma, Umbro and Mizuno have been added.
Further free DLC will be released for PES 2011 during the coming year.
what's it do?jlevel13 said:The US PS3 gameplay patch (that came out everywhere else nearly a month ago) is supposed to finally come out Dec. 21st...
so true, the referees are atrocious, to the point where I get pissed off when they award ridiculous fouls that favor me.Arnie said:I just want them to fix the referring, it's the only thing terrible about the game.
whatsinaname said:Is anyone else playing this game a lot? The game is brilliant, especially if you are playing with weaker teams. I think this might be my favourite PES, and I am on track to put more hours into this one than I did with PES 6.
rvy said:I think Konami did a good job at reinventing the game, but it's hard to keep playing for months non-stop. One thing that really put me off after so many matches was how the through pass system is broken and how adding a power bar to normal passes probably wasn't such a good idea.
PES (PS2, not this generation) used to feel extremely responsive with its passing, it doesn't anymore. I like it better in 2011 than I did in all the previous years, but it's not as good as PES 6.
rvy said:Where's my winter transfers update, Seabass?!
The update should have surfaced by now though, even Jon Murphy mentioned it.whatsinaname said:Heh. I am just playing ML now. Don't really require the transfers. I am sure Seabass will give us some more boot updates.
Third season, qualified for Europa League. Draw Real Madrid in the CdR first leg. :|
