This one, comparatively, feels lifeless. I don't know...it just doesn't feel like the Nordschleife I'm used to. Maybe it's as simple as colour or the physics engine or the camera movement but it doesn't feel 'the seat of your pants' intense. I can't stand it.
Maybe you've seen my post in the graphics comparison thread, I'm not exactly a fan of pCARS2's Nordschleife either, but the track width must be accurate or you would have to drive very different, but I can drive it like I always do, that's it. Bumpiness-wise? I don't know, cars don't bottom out and hit the bump-stop constantly anymore at the Karussel-tiles actually fit together geometrically, so that's fine for me.
Yea, the camera movement, the coloring, the sound... that's very subjective. Camera movement and sound are "ok" for me, not as good as RaceRoom, the coloring of the track surface looks the way I always hated it in pCARS1... chalk-like grey, ugly. But look at Kostacurtas screenshots, there the tarmac looks ok, it depends on the angle of the sun a lot here. Track-side is unbeatable in GTS with the green of the trees that look fresh and alive from the subsurface scattering, feels like driving in late spring on a sunny day should feel like. However... that's not "visceral" for me, it's just beautiful (combined with the far from visceral sound in GTS it's almost calming ;D shot fired).
I actually don't know the default FOV in Assetto Corsa on console... it's probably actually higher than 50, I think 50 is the lowest you can go on console if I remember that right. I'd say it might even be 60 - that would translate to ~92 pCARS2 (standard setting on PC in pCARS2 is only 75), not sure if it's 100% replicable, horizontal and vertical FOV should still be different. Btw. for that FOV to be true-to-life (like your display is a window into a world where objects are the same size as in your living room and all distances on the track look like that window points at the real race track without the use of a tele or wide-angle lens), you would need to sit 65cm from a 60" TV... if you sit further away, it's distorted and seems faster than it should when looking through a window. It's a pretty wide FOV.

Edit: I love this tire model! It's so fun. Only other title I ever had as much fun in with my wheel is Automobilista. This FFB is a little less brutal, but it's so easy to understand the flex and the cars are just easy-fun to drive. I came here from 4 hours of fun driving of much fewer cars than I wanted to test-drive, because I just couldn't stop lapping. Absolutely love it. I did encounter a few more bugs too, being send out with rain tires in the dry for example, but whatever. Really good time.
