Greg, this reminds me of yesterday on C&GL when someone was upset you were making fun of Ireland. Same thing with all the jokes about the UK during the live stream at the start of February. Do you ever think it'd be easier to just not make mean spirited 'jokes' that could offend people? It just kind of comes across as bullying sometimes. Obviously some people are always going to be upset about small things, but you constantly rag on other cultures and other gaming communities/platforms. You can't just say mean stuff and then follow it up with "we were joking". "Joking" is not a get-of-jail card.
When you made fun of that guy who then deleted his Twitter account, he was just a fan who asked a dumb question, but you don't know if he was a kid, or someone with a mental disability, or what his story was. You could have either chosen to ignore him, or respond kindly, but instead you and your lynch mob were rude to him to the point he felt so embarrassed he deleted his account. He was just a fan of you! And then to top it off you make it an on-going joke? That doesn't make you feel awful?
Joking around and being immature is fun, but, and this especially true when you're the leader of a large community, you don't have to be insensitive or a bully.
Please don't accuse me of being a hater, or a new fan, I've been listening to Beyond for ages, I jumped onto KF before it was KF, I was even featured in a Gregway. And I wouldn't be saying this if I didn't enjoy listening to the PSILY and C&GL. I just think a little bit of kindness and compassion, which you're usually pretty good for, can go along way.
