I'm still waiting for them to give free shoes to people that weren't in the closed beta.
So far the free items have been lackluster compared to the pay-for items. It's bizzare, it's like they don't really want to put in effort to give me a reason to go on Home. I think the only free item that I've been given was the mindfreak couch. At least that looked like someone spent some time on it.
Game wise, the virtual lines are bullshit. You can call me a "troll" or whatever but to defend that shit is bullshit. And the fact that I
still can't play Chess/Mankala/Poker/Bowling in my
personal space (hell, charge for it if you want) is bullshit. EA's Poker space had numerous glitches the months I tried it out.
Overall, I keep going to Home, so I'm not trolling when I say I find Home to be nothing more than a glorified chatroom, but hey if you want to find me a troll for making a sarcastic comment about the state of it, go ahead. I just laugh at you and the Home defenders on the PS boards that can't see that
some people want it to be more than it currently is (and no, adding Singstar/other ad spaces does not expand Home, maybe 1.3 will with a few new gestures/dance moves, but eh...)
I'm waiting for:
TV
Personal game spaces so I can avoid the shitty lines and play with friends
an...
actual reason to go to my personal space, reward items are nice and all but to sit there and chat and decorate my space isn't enough.
Also while I'm at it: Home events need to be better done, the contests that have been done so far is a crapshoot and not worth logging in for. (Even though I won one on random chance). The Home community managers need to think these out a bit better and have more SCEA/whoever is in charge of Home people on it.
Club spaces are going to be
useless if they start charging people for upkeep at $5 a month. There is currently no reason to go to a clubspace unless people
really are into Home (which, for the most part of the reason for clubs, aren't). It's like Personal spaces, just always on. There has to be a reason (for more than maybe checking for events) to go there.
