Is there a way for me to check if a games "Caching" is done?

Was playing Killzone and had to get back to work and when I tried to close the application it would get stuck. I had to force shut down and reboot. I think the problem was that I just didn't give it enough time to download in the background since I only played for like 10-15 minutes.

Anyone else have a similar issue?

Yea, i'm used to HDMI being stupid (which is why I tried a capture card, it'll give me at least a read if it's getting something. But it's just getting no signal at all.

Next step after I call sony is to pull out my volt meter and start testing the pins :p

I'm curious to see if anythings making it down the cable.
I missed the bit about the capture card. I will suggest it even if the TV didn't show an error Thanks!

If it works, should it be pretty instant? If I get "please wait" for more than 5 seconds should I try again?

only give it like 60 seconds max. it goes fast

Do you know this for a fact?

It's anecdotal. I was having the same problem last night and retrying gave me and my friend better luck than waiting. I waited like 15 minutes one time, then retried and got in in like 5 seconds.

It's almost 5pm on a Friday which just so happens to be the same day that tons of users may be first signing onto the PSN with a PS4.

I'd be more surprised PSN was working smoothly at the moment.

Sure it just wasn't your TV just not recognizing the PS4's output and therefore, not displaying the HDMI port as available?

Nah, it definitely disabled all inputs. My desktop continued outputting to its second monitor no problem, my laptop was still displaying on its integrated screen, and the PS4 itself had been outputting no problem until it rebooted after 1.50.

It wasn't just a matter of the PS4 outputting something odd and not being detected: it quite literally disabled the ability of the HDMI inputs to display anything until the whole shebang was shut down and started back up again.

Never seen anything quite like it.

Yep. It will be down and/or a hot mess for the next four to five hours.

Off the phone with Sony. 3-5 days for a coffin to arrive. No estimate on how long the fix will take. They're sorry, but would like to offer me an extended warranty plan (and by "offer" I mean they would really like me to pay for one).
That fucking sucks dude. Fuck Sony CS, too. Condolences.

I don't know but Sony knew the potential number of users trying to access the network because of the pre-orders. Why in the world they was not prepared for this?

Because other companies never have trouble when they release something to a huge amount of people? Apple's servers get hammered for several hours when a new version of iOS comes out, EA had trouble with SimCity, the list can go on and on...

I think this happened to somebody else last night, too. Sounds familiar. Glad it's working now for you.

I think there are a few issues at play, including DOA units. I wonder if there are handshake issues with HDMI.

Why are you reading my tag instead of the title of my post?
I got online like an hour after launch central time. I kept trying and got Resogun and Flower downloaded before everything went downhill. I think I came out okay :)

Have a good launch day everyone, i woke up to this :/

I'v asked this several times but it keeps getting ignored :(

How do you delete a profile so it logs into mine automatically? I accidentally started two.

Because the only thing they can do is stagger the release, which they won't do

They could have booked additional server capacity/network capacity over for example Amazon cloud services only for the launch week. WouldN#t have been cost as much as bad reports about what happens now. Don't you agree?

You know it's bad when I'm relieved that I get the error message "SEN is currently undergoing maintenance" because that means I won't have to type my sign in and password in again to retry.

:p

Yeah, I definitely saw someone else mention something like this last night, which is why I was all like "I am wise to your tricks PS4; your tomfoolery will accomplish nothing" when it happened, and not all like "Aww, shitsticks."

BF4 has been stuck in 89% all day for me. I'm close to deleting it and restarting.

As long as your system is on it should download, wether you are playing or not.
