There's a couple ways to use it. I think the default is you tap it once and it brings you to the share menu, while automatically capturing both the last 15 minutes of gameplay and a screenshot, which are stored on your console until you decide to delete or upload them. If you hold the share button, it will just take a screenshot and let you keep playing. If you double tap the share button, it will tell the game to start capturing footage from that point onward, and end once you go to the share menu.

You can also set it (as I have done) to take a screenshot with a single tap and go to the menu on a hold.

I guess it kinda make sense now that you can have 2000 friends online... Would get ridiculous with the pop-ups.

They could put it to show only "Real Name" friends tho.

I've just been putting in standby.

Side note, My ps4 makes like a loud click when I turn it on from being fully powered off. Does anyone elses do this? Does not do it when I turn it on from standby

Conquest isn't working for anyone, which is one of the reasons I bought the game. Errors are everywhere and they'll kick you out to the dashboard. Plus one of the errors corrupted my save file and deleted my campaign progress. You can't edit loadouts from the main screen and then you can't join games as a group.

Yup :)

I always double tap and play. Once I'm done recording, I press the button and it is saved.

Is there anyway of trimming videos into multiple sections?

Don't know if it is possible, but I Platinumed Sound Shapes on PS3/PS Vita. Can I transfer my save file to PS4 and unlock the Trophies on that version? Or do I have to play it again?

White = normal, blue is at startup, orange = standby, red = overheating, pulsing blue continuously = screwed, I think.


This is from the online manual:

Lights up in white = Powered on
Lights up in orange = Standby mode

Blinks in red = The PS4™ system is overheating.
Turn off the system, and wait until later to use it.

i've been begging for over 5 years.
Quick question I thought I remembered hearing that the PS3 official bluetooth headset would work with PS4. Am I wrong? I can't seem to get the PS4 to recognize it.

NICE! I worked at Circuit City when the PS2 was released. When customers who were lucky enough to get a PS2 walked out the store holding that blue box, it broke necks. Everybody would turn and stare at them, even those who seemingly had no interest in getting a PS2. Is there a way around that UI bug where you pick a game from your library on the store and it throws you back into the main menu?

I redeemed and downloaded the Assassin's Creed extra mission from the retail box, and I just upgraded my drive to a 1.5TB and I want to re-download it. That add-on isn't in the store, it's only in my library and I get kicked back to the main menu every time I try to access the assassin's creed game from there...

Every single time I open my library and navigate to any game it crashes back to the main screen. Has anyone found a work around?

Cool im gonna change it to the way you have it. I cant figure out how to delete the stuff though. I found theres another way to get to the videos and screen shots via your profile is that where you can?

So, is there a date for War Thunder? That's one of my most anticipated launch titles and it didn't make launch, and I can't even google the release date because everyone is still saying "launch day".

To delete stuff, just go to Settings, and look for... uh, something like System Storage. Then you select your media captures, and you can delete them. One by one, or you can checkmark a couple and delete them all pretty quickly.

I go on long trips so I am away from my systems for large chunks. I used to love the automatic turn on for ps3, it would make sure to keep everything updated. If I shut off the ps4 when I go on a trip it won't do updates. :(

So I guess I should leave it on standby...

So many memories!

I lucked into a launch PS2 because a friend of mine was scared of not getting his preorder and he camped out for one. He ended up letting me have the preorder one. We had cops escort us out to our cars when we went to go pick it up on launch day.

That launch PS2 is still sitting next to my TV :)

I've turned it off completely twice and put it in standby once. I'll probably completely turn it off the majority of the time.

Yeah, Killzone and Knack both get quite loud when I'm playing. Like The Last of Us 60gb launch PS3 levels of loud. Resogun I can only hear a slight hum.

Tried to buy flower, it let me spend the money on it but it doesn't show up in notifications, says "purchased" in the store but nothing on the menu or anything else, the icon in the library has the download icon but it won't let me download (doesn't even show an option for it). Just sends me back to the home screen.
