Is there an updated version of the PS3/Vita have no games meme with the console at a bar being turned down by the blond woman?
I think it doesn't even read .avi files for now from a USB stick,or even MP3's...

PS4 arrived this morning, shockingly it works. Not sure what to do since no one around here has one yet and EU PSN hasn't updated with Resogun. I really wanted to christen the PS4 with that

i didn't try to use the code because i don't think it stacks onto my pre-existing subscription. i can confirm that it does work in canada though. i've been using it while playing need for speed.

I just went to PSN and went to the product page for COD and redownloaded the whole thing. But only the map downloaded and I got an error saying i already had COD installed and it wouldnt be downloaded so that didnt screw up my previous install. If you DL the map from a code with the retail version, i have no idea how to redownload. My process is for the digital version of COD
Is there a way to "save" tabs you had open while playing? I wanted to keep my trophy list open like I do on Vita but it seems to close it out when I tab back to the game.
Yeah it's pretty fantastic. I keep looking for the catch but it seems like it really did install that fast. The space on my HDD says 36gb and I don't see any meter that indicates it's still going.

If you're paying attention then its not hard to find.
Fatwallet and Neogaf have posted when Amazon restocks which lasted a few hours last time.
I haven't played - yet hear amazing things for NBA2k14.
That said : Killzone.
Its a really great looking game.
Also BF4 multiplayer had my jaw dropping last night.

Remember that when they say credit card, they literally mean credit card. I haven't been able to sign up a bank debit/credit card that I would easily use on Amazon. I've just had to use paypal for PSN stuff.
At least that's how it's been for me.

That's pretty disappointing to hear. Definitely not a deal breaker but I would have thought Sony would have remedied a problem like this.

Contrast is quite the surprise. Controls are a little clunky but it's really fun as a puzzle/adventure game.
Finally got mine today and its pretty sweet. I really like how clean the interface is and just the overall improvements.The headphones in the controller is also amazing I am gonna use this alot. Played some Knack and I also have Assassins Creed 4 and just upgraded my Battlefield 4 so can't wait to see what that looks like.

An opinion as that is as subjective as it gets. Being able to see open parties is already making the PS4 much more connected to my friends than on PS3 or Vita. Then you have the ability to see the What's New section and see what your friends are doing or go into individual profiles and catch some of their activities and see if they are streaming. It's as cohesive and entertaining to see what my friends have been doing or streaming or taking screenshots on top of other news in the feed.
Double tap the PS button works for me.

Got mines yesterday from Gamestop in Livermore CA. Had a little drive, but it was worth it. Someone flaked on their pre-order so it was all mine.
Stayed up pretty late last night. I had already bought Killzone and Knack so I got into those.
Signed up for PlayStation Plus. DUDE. I started downloading a TON of free games. I already have a backlog of stuff to play, which sounds nuts. I just got the thing.

When I first turned on my PS4 on Friday...
So my questions to Gaf are, are those rumors about thermal paste possibly true? Would replacing the stock paste with something akin to Arctic Silver void my warranty?
- I had difficulty maintaining a wired connection to my router.
- I heard a clicking that sounded like a hard drive failing to initialize.
- About five minutes later I got the on screen overheat warning/red light and the system went into stand-by.
- The top of the box was quite hot so I crapped my pants.
- Waited about 5 minutes.
- Turned it back on and haven't had an issue since.

After playing with the PS4 for a few days, I really commend Sony on getting the audio to output through the controller. Being able to play with the sound on full blast in the middle of the night and not disturb anyone is a life-saver. I expect new fathers to love it as well lol.
such a good idea. it seems like it would be easy to do, but i wonder if the low-power processor has enough juice to do that.

For those of you who have a headset from the previous gen with a 2.5mm plug for voice chat, have you bought a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter? Using the PS earpiece is annoying as I'm using my headphones over top of it, and I can't seem to adjust the volume to counteract the game sound. I'm trying to figure out if there's a reliable adapter that anybody has tried since most of the ones I'm finding online have pretty crappy reviews.

Love everything so far. SO glad my Logitech G930 wireless usb headset works. Plugged in the adapter and turned it on, immediately knew a headset was plugged in and both audio and mic work. It's a godsend, because I game on my monitor that doesn't have audio in/out. My only other option would be to use regular headphones or the included headset if I wanted a mic. Share button is getting a lot of use, too, love recording small snippets of glitches/cool things.

So does anyone else's optic cable feel like it barely fits the port? It's so loose on mine. I thought it might be the one end of the cable but nope, reversed it and same thing. Anyone else have this problem?

Darn I used my psn plus 30 day trial on my old account by accident. Ugh.
So what notifications do I turn off to get the annoying [Netflix license verified] that likes to pop up while I'm watching a show on Netflix to go away? Even the DS4 is off notification when I set it to turn off after 10 mins is annoying. Don't want to turn all notifications off but I don't see one for these.

1a) When I suspend the game, does this mean I'll be able to jump into that exact spot when I return from the XMB?
1b) What if I put it in standby, will it remember where it's suspended?
1c) Can I use other apps while in suspend?
2) How can I play videos off of a USB stick?
3) I don't understand the icon arrangement right now. It seems like game launch icons just appear in between the library and web browser randomly. Is this string of icons just going to continue as my collection grows? Seems odd and random. Can't I organize them somehow?
4) Does standby occupy as much power as stated in the other thread?

1c) yes, but as far as i know, you can only have 1 game and 1 app running at the same time.
3) it sorts by most recently used. it's stupid. everyone wants folders and other ways to sort icons.

It really is. Glad we can now get 32-64 players more frequently this gen. If its not 60 it's damn close. Looks so good too.
So, I just got NBA2K in the mail and whenever I try to start the disc up I get "an update file is downloading. Do you want to start the application now without updating it?"
