I just got my PS4!!!!!!!!!!
Brought it home and had to battle through being tired as frack, hungry as frick, and excited as freck to get going on my PS4.
Now just to preface this, I was assisting a friend and his busted PS4 yesterday, so my setup was a bit in disarray with various things unplugged. So I whip out the PS4, find a spare set of HDMI cables out of a bunch I bought a while back (didn't wanna use the supplied one), plug 'er into my TV, switch inputs, power on and... nothing.
I got the white LED, but the TV was displaying no signal. By this time I was doing a combo of eating dinner and trying to troubleshoot, so to be honest my mind wasn't entirely on the subject at hand. I rolled my eyes at the thought of having to troubleshoot this, so I got to work power cycling all my devices, holding the power button, trying various HDMI ports... nothing worked after 15 minutes.
Then I decided to try out my PS3 connected to the same TV... oddly enough it was giving no signal too! All my other devices worked fine. So after a few more minutes I finally stuck my head behind the TV to get a better look AND... much to my chagrin I discovered that instead of plugging my PS4 into the TV, I had somehow, someway managed to work it out so that I plugged my PS4 into... my PS3! lol
Well suffice it to say these two devices mysteriously didn't want to work well together
So now my PS4 is fully up and running and downloading games. YAY PS4!!!!!!!!!!!!
heh, in my defense, all my HDMI cables look alike, and I hadn't realized my PS3 wasn't plugged into the TV, heh.
