It kinda upsets me to know Sony does things like this for celebrities. They have more than enough money to get a PS4. Meanwhile I have been loyal to Sony since the PS1 and Warhawk. NO telling how much money I have spent on Sony products. As have many of you all! Where is our cool azz swag??? Of course I don't expect a response so please excuse my rant!

I went to create a PSN ID, and it said the ID I chose was fine, and then when I submitted it it told me there was a network error, and it closes out.
I go back in and have to re-enter all my info, and now the ID is "unavailable." I guess the name just got stored in the ether and now nobody can have it. smh.
Also, why is the word "horse" banned from all IDs? You can't make any ID that has the word "horse" in it.

It's advertisement and publicity. They could send you free stuff but it wouldn't benefit them, so they aren't going to do it.

This happened when I was making an account for my wife. She got an email about 20 minutes later saying her account was set up and then I logged in with the info I put in.

Got my PS4 today.
Setup was extremely easy and have experienced NO errors whatsoever. I was surprised at how small the Dualshock 4 is. I thought it would have been bigger than the DS3, but it doesn't feel like it. It's lighter too.
The UI is also very very fast and responsive. My only issue is that the "What's New" activity feed sometimes fails to load or takes to long. That's a PSN issue I'm guessing. Downloads seem fast though.
Overall I am a very happy customer and I look forward to get my Killzone copy shipped. Resogun is good but I need MOAR.

I'm really confused at my shitty wifi on the PS4. My router isn't amazing, mind you, but I really shouldn't be getting 400 kbps download speeds (at best. In pracice I'm actually downloading at around 30 kbps...) and extremely frequent drops in wifi signal. I basically have to leave everything downloading overnight and forget about playing anything online. I did some testing with mobile devices and a Surface and speedtest.net reports 10 Mbps, which is actually about 5 Mbps less than I get on my wired connection but it's FAR better than the shit I'm getting on the PS4.
Any ideas? I've forwarded the appropriate ports on my router with zero luck

I'm having random network issues too on the PS4. Like right now I'm signed in to PSN but when I highlight the what's new tab it's stuck on that spinning loading sign. Same thing when I highlight the game tab (knack in this case). When I try to load the Store it just sits at the blue background screen forever.
When you're rich enough to buy the shit you want, they give it to you for free. Sense, it makes non but companies love those celeb endorsements. :|

Same thing happened to me but in game I can choose between the OWL skins that came with the DLC but I have no idea where to look for the spotlight move or the soundtrack.

So I noticed that if you start a download from the PS Web Store, when it starts downloading you can turn your PS4 on instantly.

I'd give it some time before you restart it. It did the same thing to me, and eventually it finished what it needed to do.
I know it's difficult (legitimately), but be patient.

This being my first Sony console since 1997... I took the Nestea plunge.
Over the weekend I was kinda underwhelmed.. PSN and game issues, was not a good launch in my book. Getting on tonite its been a fairly smooth experience. SO its gone from a little negative to fairly happy. The whole design and layout, I kinda compare to an evil Apple motif. Which I kinda like.

Really loving the PS4 but I have a question for the A/V people:
I have a 50" Sony Bravia that is set to "Standard" Scene as the tv puts it. Is there a specific mode I should have my PS4 set to like " Movie" or whatever?

If you have a Sony or Samsung TV, you can use your TV remote via BraviaSync. That's the ideal solution, imho.
