just a heads up incase its not been mentioned. You can charge ds4 at the mains with a phone charger, which im sure didnt work on ds3. Which ive been finding useful as seems to charge quicker then through ps4 on stand by

Tried to use the DS3 today (first time since getting a PS4) and my god, I did not realize the difference. I never minded the DS3 but now it feels horrendous. It seems very cheap with loose analog sticks and horrible triggers.

I understand now how everyone is praising the DS4. They may look somewhat similar, but the DS4 is lightyears ahead of the DS3

Well, after playing all weekend, I'm very happy.

Such a good looking machine - the UI is smooth and quick, and the games looks great in that 1080p

Surprisingly, I played more of Knack than anything else. On hard, this is a true old-school brawler/platformer, and on easy, it's the perfect introduction to gaming for my 3.5 year old boy - apparently Knack is awesome, and he did not want to stop. He plays main Knack on the Vita, whilst I help as robo-knack - great concept and top game.

I played the first 3 levels of Killzone last night - fantastic - the forest level looks superb, and once I worked out the controls, the OWL is also very cool. The typical killzone gunplay is still evident, and the movement feels excellent. And the soundtrack!

Very happy with the purchase, and can't wait for Driveclub

can I use vita as a second controller in local multiplayer games?

for example:

Playing twisted metal with my brother at home, but instead of having a split screen I can use vita to control my character and maintaining 100% of the screen?

Are you directly connected to your TV or going through a receiver/amp. I've noticed the same thing, but I turn my amp on/off and the audio returns. I think its a HDMI handshaking issue, the PS4 isn't the only device in my setup that suffers from this issue.

Connected directly, a restart fixes it.

Just searching and it seems to be fairly common.

Set the thing up on Saturday and I'm loving it.

The UI and the speed in which you can multi task is by far my favourite aspect, and something I wasn't entirely expecting. The freedom you have no matter what you're doing in-game is insane, even to the point where you can download whilst playing online. I just wish there was a pause button for downloads.

And I can't stress how good the controller is. The sticks, triggers, d-pad and front shoulder buttons are superlative.

Love the speaker in the controller, too. Listening to audio logs is so natural and such a good fit.

I seem to have issues with my hdmi. turning on ps4 then tv it brings a white or otherwise coloured screen or sometimes crackling sound. yet when I turn off my tv and on again it fixes the issue...anyone else have this?

Loving the system! One thing that surprised me was the voice controls, I actually use them and wish there was more of them like "Playstation On", or while in game "Playstation, check messages" would be nice too. On Bluray playback...yeeesh:

- Turn off the lights to watch a movie.
- Start the movie.
- Light from the controller is annoying, so go through a lot of menus just to turn it off.
- Need to pause the movie so turn the controller back on, doing so I have to log back in to my profile and then pause.
- We decide to just leave the controller on and cover it with a cushion.

They need to flesh this out more in future updates. Let us turn off the controller light and add voice commands to pause/play etc.

Eh I'm trying to accept the free month of plus and it keeps saying my credit card info is wrong even though its clearly not. Anyone else experience this?

With 2,000 friends it would be popping up literally constantly.

Should be an option for those of us with less though, or just for your favourite friends.

My friend didn't get to start his ps4 until today and is trying to download the update and it's going absurdly slow. Is PSN fucked up right now or what?

Turn on hmdi control in the options, its possible that you can use your TV remote.

Hold the PS button down for 5 secs or so should turn off the controller.

I think I had that on already, I tried the the pause button on my TV remote last night but nothing registered. I'll double check tonight. Hopefully it works, it'd be so much easier.

I don't know about the heat situation, but my ps4 is definitely noisier in the vertical position when running Killzone (digital version). It is a very noticeable difference that is easily reproduced (with some delay) by changing the console position on the fly while playing the game (not recommended with the disc version obviously ...). In my opinion, the noise level when running Killzone in vert position is unacceptable, so I would recommend horizontal. The noise is almost (but not quite) at the level of launch 360 fat models.
I should point out: running the OS and Resogun I don't detect any noise difference, so the difference is only apparent under stress.

It seems like more people were complaining about it then praising it, though I'm pretty sure it's still there -- just turned off by default. I don't actually own a PS4 yet so I can't check myself.

Me too. I ended up buying my PS+ through GAME & activated it with a code.

MasterCard actually blocked my attempts on Friday, so I guess there've been some issues with SEN processing payments.

OT: absolutely loving the system. The UI is quick & logical, I'm loving suspend when you come out of a game, go into Netflix & then drop back not h game, completely seamlessly. Haven't tried voice yet as haven't connected the camera but looking forward to trying it.

Resogun is better than sliced bread too,

Ended up giving up relatively quickly and just bought PS+ off Amazon. I don't know why it wouldn't take my card, I've used it on the PS3 before. I even tried entering it on the website, but that didn't work either.
