How long is normal for discs to spin for coming out of standby?
Mine spins for about 2 minutes...
Anyone?

I seem to have issues with my hdmi. turning on ps4 then tv it brings a white or otherwise coloured screen or sometimes crackling sound. yet when I turn off my tv and on again it fixes the issue...anyone else have this?
Anyone?
Loving the PS4 but have noticed that killzone makes the console really hot and loud and that ghosts, killzone and knack are quite stuttery and not as smooth as I read they would be.
Anyone else experience this?
My PS4 has the pretty much the same sound level on horizontal as in vertical (ie almost nothing) when running KZ. I've also never ever heard it click.Nope, been playing KZ a lot this weekend and didn't notice an increase in heating or sound.
The only thing I've noticed as being 'weird' on the PS4 is that sometimes I hear a hard ticking sound.
Anyway here is an early photo of all my games getting on with downloading.
What telly is that? I like the thin bezel.
Not sure how long 'normal' is, but mine seem to spin for ~10 secs after hitting standbay before everything turns off
It's the LG 47LM960V
I think LG have updated their model numbers now and more have the thinner bezel.
Ah, those'll be the ones that report back on your TV watching to LG :/
Thanks I think outs time to give Amazon a call.Nope, been playing KZ a lot this weekend and didn't notice an increase in heating or sound.

Only if you are watching on the built in tuner surely.
Mine isn't even plugged in.
So I'm streaming Resogun to TwitchTV and when I go on a computer and head to Twitch to see the quality it reverts me to Justin.tv
Why is this?
Did you ever have a Justin.TV account? Mine did the same. I had to log into Justin.TV with my Twitch details, delete the account (which also deletes your Twitch one) and go to Twitch to make a new account. It's an ass pain.
I know, the Help pages stated that they could move Justin.TV accounts to Twitch up until May this year, but now the databases are separate. Which doesn't make sense since deleting one deletes the other :-/.
In standby mode my PS4 fan is off (LED is orange) which I expect, but my friends is always on, even when its not downloading anything.
Anyone else noticed their fan being on or off in standby? (orange LED on)
How much are you guys enjoying Fifa 14 on Ps4? Is it worth to buy the console already just to play it until Destiny arrives?
I heard they took out Tournament mode in the PS4 version.
Mine hardly makes any noise.
Is it just me or does the glossy part of the PS4 get small scratches easily?

Can anyone explain what region to buy PS+ in?
I bought BF4 during the amazon US sale and I'm in the UK. I know that to play the game, I have to set my master account to the US one, is that right?
How about online?
Regardless, based on numbers of noise responses, I'm basically changing my entire lounge to put the PS4 horizontally instead of vertically in my TV setup and inside a cabinet which is fairly airy but also kind of enclosed, it should acutallly still get half decent airflow, while reucing the noise output for me and not cook the thing.
I can't stand fucking noise - I'd rather pay $50 more for the console to be silent, I'd rather it were 15% bigger. Sony marketed the PS2, PS3 and PS4 (?) to the middle aged gamer, not just the kids, they style these things to look slick in a home theature unit, it's not a bright purple fucking gamecube. Why do they think ANY loud noise is acceptable from people with a bit of money?
:/
I don't own one yet but yes EVERYONE is saying that, thanks for reminding me to basically wear gloves when handling it
Does the PS4 show when a friend is playing on the PS3, and does the PS3 show when a friend is playing a PS4 game?

The PS4 will show the friend playing a game, not the format, unless you go in to that friends profile and then it will show the format of the game being played.
It's basically the same as Fifa 14 on PS3 with a higher resolution. And it's missing two features I loved in the past: tournament mode and the ability to play coop online on one console. If I didn't get it for "free"(amazon b2g1) I would have regretted it. If your not interested in any other of the launch games, I wouldn't buy a PS4 just for Fifa.

There aren't any gameplay improvements? What about the ignite engine?

For those who are interested.
Yum.
Jelly. Gonna need to get that or blue at some point.
Just made my housemate shit. They were watching Netflix on the Wii U and I wanted to show someone a PS4 game at work, so fired up my Vita and the PS4 started whirring and switched the HDMI switcher to the PS4 output. Got a text that my PS4 might be haunted when it started moving the UI by itself!
Hmm, this might actually become a problem. I love the HDMI-CEC feature (never had it on my PS3 since it's a Phat), how the TV automatically turns on and switches to the correct input, how I can control the UI with my TV remote (please make this work in Netfix...), but I really don't think I'd want that to happen when remote playing. The TV doesn't seem to automatically turn off when the PS4 does, only on, so that means my TV would turn on and then stay on until I got home. Don't have a Vita yet, but once I do I might have to turn off the auto-on feature on my TV.

Still, there’s some brilliant thought to the overall design of the feature. It won’t turn on your TV alongside your PS4 if you’re using HDMI-CEC, and vice versa for turning off. It’s a really solid start for a technology which will clearly evolve over time. And while some may say that it kills the point in the Vita, it truly revives it, expanding the library to all of Sony’s future games (well, minus GT6) rather than just handheld exclusives.
How can I do that?
I have tried many times but this HDMI-CEC feature confuses me. =/
