Finally got to mess around with my PS4 today as I'm home from school for Thanksgiving break, and I've got to say I'm very pleased!
First Impressions:
Wow, the DS4 may be the best controller I've ever held.
Setup process was easy and fast; updating system software took almost no time.
Downloading Resogun also was super fast, way faster than downloading games for PS3 has been for me.
Didn't really know what I was doing in Resogun but it seems fine and looks beautiful.
Installed 2K14 while I played that quick match and it was ready by the time I was done. Again, don't really know how to play that one yet but I'm excited to play more!
Assassin's Creed IV looks fun, if the same as always for now. Really liked how they just threw you in right from the start.
Remote play worked beautifully, although I was having some issues with the sound towards the end. It got all crackly but the video was still going through with no lag.
Now I need to get some more people on my friend's list so I can compare scores in Resogun and whatnot!

I called my local Walmart and they received their shipment....4 units total. That was in 2 actual shipments too which they said 2 units per shipment hence them only having 4 for tomorrow. Yeah there's no way thats happening....
I did call up GameStop just for shits and giggles, and are ironically enough located in front of said Walmart, and the clerk actually told me they were receiving a shipment today..or yesterday now...but as to how many units they would get he couldn't say given he said he wasn't actually supposed to even mention they were getting them. No reservations, first come first serve and they'll be open at midnight.
It's funny how I have heard so many people say they hate the DS3. Honestly I have to say I didn't like the tension of the analog sticks at first, but I got used to it.
After playing with my DS4 for a while, I went back to the DS3 and found that it is still a competent controller. I just don't get the negativity about it.

Interesting. I'd still say the best bet to get one is for Amazon to put theirs up for sale. They gotta have some they are holding for Black Friday.

Seriously what the fuck is up with my Share button. Every time I press it, instead of grabbing the last 15 minutes of play, it grabs 15 minutes of play from a fucking hour ago. Useless. This wasn't happening to me last week, but I lost two great BF4 kill streaks last night and just now I dodged an incredible 6 car crash in Need for Speed Rivals. Press the share button, and got a 15 minute video of me sitting in the menus from over an hour ago while I was making dinner. Shit shit shit.

But seriously, this will be the first console launch post Modern Warfare era. Now that there's level ups in shooters, I don't envy the europeans getting into BF4 and COD when NAers already have all the cool stuff unlocked. Starting with a handicap man.

Oh and in before the beta tested BF4 stuff, EA actually had things working for a few days before they actually released a patch that made the d/cs worse. Sorry Europe.

Holy... My end of august pre-order was moved to january 2014 some weeks ago and now it's... Dispatched! Woooooo!!! Some folks probably made multiple pre-orders and cancelled them as soon as one was dispatched. Anyway, next gen, here I come! I'm so, so glad by this turn of event!

OK not sure whether or not to make a thread for this, but I'll ask here first. I have Trine 2 on PS4 and it's wonderful. Online play works like a charm. However, the voice chat will randomly cut off from either me or my friend's after a period of time and then it'll randomly work for a while before cutting off again. Anyone else that have Trine 2 have any of these issues?

Regarding buying games from Amazon US in another country, am I right in thinking you can have two primary accounts on a console? I read that the US account has to be set as a primary account for that console, but can I also set my UK one to be primary?
Then I assume it's just a case of downloading the game on the US account, switching to the UK account and playing it?
Apart from having to buy DLC from the same region, are there any drawbacks at all of this method, short of Sony deciding to lock it in some way at a later time?

I have to say this, if Amazon magically gets a bunch of PS4s tomorrow and I don't get one there will be hell to pay. I had to return mine for credit due to faulty hardware and they refused to replace it since they didn't have stock.

Hey guys, got my ps4 at midnight launch and all has been well. However just yesterday I noticed the system makes a buzz noise sometimes when a disc is put in. Not to the extent that the Xbone did on the defective units, but it is audible. Only seems to do it when the disc is spinning I think, and it doesn't always do it. Sometimes it doesn't do it at all. It also seems that it won't do it right away either when the system is turned on, only after its been on for a while.
The system works fine though, no issues other than the buzzing sometimes, but of course it has me worried. Had anyone else experienced this?
