My BF4 won't install the full game past 60%. Campaign is fully installed but the other 40% off the full game won't install.

Figured out how to get it to download your pre-activated DLC which isn't on the store. You have to delete your install, and then go onto your download list on the website and tell it to download to your PS4, it'll then finally download the DLC. Then you can just reinstall the game and it'll install the DLC.
What a pisstake that you have to do that!

Mine did this yesterday to all games, happen because i jumped back to XMB as killzone was starting up. Just switched Ps4 right off (not standby) restarted and all is fine. I think there is a few kinks in the os still

i bought bf4 for ps3 as part of the amazon.com deal yesterday, then did the ps3 to ps4 upgrade for 10 bucks. 33.6 GB and i was able to start playing in under an hour, though single player only
in about 3 hours the whole thing was done, which speaks to how fast PSN is for me now (canada). that would have taken me days on ps3

Okay guys...I'm being a bit paranoid but whenever I go to turn off the PS4(not in standby but a full shutdown) It takes a while to turn off, the white light keeps going up and down for a good 20 seconds.
Is this normal? It might be more then 20 seconds or slightly less, all I know is that it takes much and I mean much longer then the XBOX ONE or my PS3.

My EU PS4 is constantly downloading something even if there is nothing on the download manager... Is this normal?
This is the connections list of my PS4 idling on the main menu.
Constantly downloading something on an Akamai server at 30 kB/s.
It has a persistent online presence Akamai is used in a lot of sites to stream video such as NFL.com. It has to ping the network for you to stay online so there is likely activity happening all the time.

Ya you can delete right away, that's what I did. Someone said if you do it from SEN you don't need to input your CC info.

I had the same issue. I deleted the game and installed again and it installed in about 15 mins as opposed to the hour stuck at 35% for me.

2 days since launch and here are my initial impressions…
I love the controller. The DS4 fits perfectly in my hands, has a decent weight, it feels like a natural evolution of the DS3 moving toward the comfort of the 360 controller. I may even prefer it over the 360 pad (my previous favourite) as the triggers / D-pad feel a little better and I prefer the layout of the thumb-sticks. Not completely sold on the touch pad, using it is ok and it works fine but it feels a little unnecessary. Finally the Mic built into the controller is brilliant - it adds so much to games that implement it wisely, just feels like a neat little touch. Not essential but appreciated.
The system interface is exactly what I wanted. Fast, easy to use and stylish - keeping the XMB aspect but integrating great features like party chat, jumping in and out of games within seconds. Accessing trophies / PSN is also really quick now which is welcome and in keeping with the nice flow of using the console. Standby mode is a great feature.
The console looks great and is mostly whisper quiet, every now and again it'll kick up a bit of noise but never for more than a few seconds and only during games as far as I can tell.
Resogun - Best launch game. I've got 43% of the trophies already and played it for hours. Addictive gameplay, the visuals are really crisp and colourful, the soundtrack is just amazing; really retro mixed with modern dubstep-esque sound. This is a game I can see myself playing online and solo for months to come. Plus it was free on PS+!
Knack - Played only for an hour with a friend on launch night. Graphically it looks nice and smooth, has nice pixar like cutscenes. It seems to have a very basic, cliche ridden plot. The gameplay was a ton of fun co-op, I think playing single player it may be far less enjoyable. Also it seems like it may get frustrating. Punishing old school gameplay.
Killzone - Haven't really played much multiplayer, but the few games I've been in have been decent. The aiming takes some getting used to. The campaign I've been enjoying. Looks very impressive, with a killer art style, sound is also very strong especially the music which is used sparingly but creates a real mood. Reminds me of the Blade Runner score in certain areas. There seem to be difficulty spikes even on normal every so often that can be frustrating. The owl is a nice way to keep the gameplay fresh and tactical. The story is predictable and poorly told but it still has my interest and the environments are nice and varied. On chapter 6 and enjoying it so far.
Battlefield 4 - Multiplayer is amazing. This will keep me going for months at least. The game feels so smooth and it really feels like a next gen multiplayer experience.
Single-player I'm also enjoying. I like the characters, they seem interesting so far (mission 4), the weapons feel so good that shooting waves of enemies never gets old, the music is actually really outstanding I love the soundtrack. Visually it rivals Killzone and even betters it at times and everything is so smooth at 60fps.
That is my experience so far. I've been adding people on Gaf so again if anyone is into Battlefield / KZ / Resogun multiplayer just add me!
So happy last gen is over and we can move on with all this 1080p / 60fps greatness!

Just got my ps4 at Best buy. Went there with my girlfriend to get myself Pacific Rim and saw a dozen of people leaving with Playstations. Asked inside and they told me they received (or held back I don't know) around 40. Installing everything right now if psn is not dead.

Loving my new PS4, but when I put it in standby mode the fan is still really noisy. Surely this cannot be right? The PS3 was silent in standby and I don't want to wear the fan out...

Ugh, I think doing the PS3->PS4 upgrade for NBA 2K14 was a mistake It's downloading ridiculously slowly, probably due to the big file size.
Can the upgrade version be backgrounded / closed and will continue downloading though? It seems to only download in the game, it's not listed in my downloads.
It downloaded about 4.5GB from PSN, and then a 2GB update. There's no other downloads listed for it. The game says it's at 19%, it's moved 2% in nearly an hour. This will take forever.
If I close it and play another game will it carry on downloading with not being listed in downloads, or not?
Edit: Can confirm it does install in the background while you play something else, like other games. It just doesn't show progress in the download list for some reason. I got bored with it at 20% and played a couple of matches on FIFA, just put NBA back in and it says 25% now. Phew.

Sorry for the dumb question, but how do I pause downloads? I'm downloading Contrast and it's taking ages. I want to pause the download so I can switch the system off but the only option I get is "delete"?
Don't think you can pause them at the minute :/
