GAF, am I the only one not using my PS4 with a computer monitor? It seems everyone streaming and taking pictures have their gear connected to what I call a computer setup. :D

Edit: Playing on a 50" Panasonic plasma myself.

Still going to be a long 24-36 hours ;-)

Now if mine would only dispatch as well... Amazon have now charged my credit card so at least that worry is out of the way, I had it blocked for suspected fraud on my Zelda pre-order just last week.
 
I just couldnt do an online order for a console, id be sitting waiting at the front door all day. Not doing midnight launch though, game open 8am so ill pick it up then, cant wait more excited than i was last week. It feels sooooo long ago ps4 launched in the usa its been a loooooong two weeks euro bros.
 
Shopto still hasn't changed from processed and any attempts to find out whats going on are meet with 0 answers, they where quick enough to take the money...

Anyone else from northern ireland still waiting?

So as some people said last night, it looks as if ShopTo haven't actually dispatched consoles yet despite the DPD emails. The DPD tracking page says they're still waiting for my order to get to them.

Gamestop have dispatched my extra DS4 and camera "by courier", but the courier is Royal Mail. I'll expect them next Wednesday, then. :(
 
Playing on my living room 120hz 3D 60" TV here, although it may get moved down to my 24" monitor soon enough since I prefer smaller screens for playing games seriously

Yeah they are a beautiful design. I previously had the cheap 47LW560 but it got slightly damaged in an accident (small broken corner bezel, screen still worked perfectly). I claimed on my insurance and they said they would replace the bezel etc. After two months of waiting I called them up again, they said they couldn't source the part and they would replace the TV instead. They offered me the 960 and charged me £20 delivery! So went from a £600 set to £1600! Oh and they let me keep the other one so that's hanging on the bedroom wall now.

using a 52" TV, i tried to purchase a 75", but they do not deliver to austria because of oversized package and UPS costs 12.000€ shipping costs xD
 
9pm. 3 Hours until launch. I'm tired. Now I feel old.

Edit: Just realised this will be my 3rd midnight launch for a Sony home console. Awwww shit, threepeat!

Edit 2: Now I feel even older...
 
LG have a 50" Plasma available in Europe for €499. All this TV talk is tempting me. I currently have a 42" LG 620T, very decent 2012 model. Plus, I'm in the market for a second TV for the bedroom, so the 42" can go in there.

Bought it yesterday for $50 tempted to drop them an email asking for a price refund but having read about them looking in to locations of cards and freezing accounts I don't want that happening just yet!

I have an LG plasma, they are great screens if you don't mind it being more of a realistic hue, rather than overly bright. Do NOT get one if it's going to sit somewhere that gets a lot of sunlight on the screen, though, as they are reflective as hell.

Edit: mine is an LG 50PA650T

Test it out first. I got a cheap Samsung Plasma (4 series) that was really bad for PC, gaming etc becacuse the brightness kept on fluctuating and dimming.

Morning my good fellow GAFfers, hope the hype is now reaching huge high levels. I missed your last updated info since yesterday but I hope your constant F5'ing has resulted in some good news for you all.

Today is the day for many, at midnight and tomorrow is also very close! I can't wait to hear all your impressions later on. While the waiting is indeed hard you all made it look much more easy by getting all the support and hype in this fine thread! I'll do my part and will update how things will go later on, at night, hoping the best for myself as well for all of you.

Almost there, keep calm and... Ok, it's hard to keep our Zen now that we are so close, bring the hype! :)

There was talk earlier in the thread I think that someone had purchased a few codes and on the fourth they said there was an issue and then requested that he emailed a copy of his credit card bill to confirm the address. But yeah I think for now if you have the code there is no problem. I just don't want to bring my account to light right now and them freeze it holding up my PS4 order.

Think they default to e-mail if they don't have a mobile number for you, they always have e-mailed me when I haven't provided one

If you plug the tracking number into the DPD website it should tell you anyway
 
Amazon UK is "preparing for dispatch." Wheeeeeey.

Is anyone else getting their console at launch but not actually using it until Christmas Day? I'd have waited to buy one till later, but the system is in such hot demand that I wouldn't have had a hope in hell of picking up one during December.
