PS4 Pro boxes getting prepped

I was right about 4K gaming , I was right about it being a smart design to reach 4K & not trying trying to brute force 4K , I was right about it being up rendering & not up scaling , I was right about it being 8.4TF FP16 , I was right about it using Polaris , I was right about it using hardware to help with the 4K rendering , I was right about it being 36 Compute units , I was right about it having some native 4K games. I was right about it having more memory on the secondary chip & so on .

And I still might be right about the 2 GPUs

- What do you mean you were "right" about 4k gaming?...we've known since the initial leaks that it was aimed at 4k...you didn't predict anything

- Again, we've know since the first leak that it COULDNT brute force 4k, and that it was using checkerboard rendering to get there...what exactly did you predict?...this is common sense based on its 4.2tf specs lol

- you were NOT right about uprendering, because the PS4 Pro doesn't uprender anything...surely you've noticed that Mark Cerny has never used that word right?

- FP16 is an AMD roadmap feature that Sony used...predicting it would be 8.4tf at FP16 isn't getting anything "right," it's just simple math...you're also running around spouting off about how much it's going to improve performance when countless people much smarter than you or I have explained how it's impossible to use all of that 8.4tf of power...you've also been trying to convince everyone that MS might be measuring the Scorpio GPU at 6tf of FP16 power, and that they actually might be dumb enough to only going to have a 3tf gpu next year...

- you were "right" about Polaris? Seriously dude? Your prediction was that Sony's newest console, would use AMD's newest gpu family? What did anyone expect?...you also made statements that contradict this prediction you didn't actually make...

You clearly said on multiple occasions that the Pro would have a regular PS4 GPU, and then they would add a second GPU...that is not predicting Polaris..

- we've also known there would be some 4k native games from the get go as well...I admit I'm surprised at some of them like NBA, but for the most part we're still dealing with checkerboard 4k like everyone tried to explain to you

- the only "prediction" you even got remotely "right" is dedicated hardware to help out in the rendering pipeline...that's really it...

You run around making ridiculous predictions, literally just throwing things at the wall...dual gpu, scorpio uses fp16 to get to 6tf, etc...and hoping they stick

Haven't you had enough crow? I didnt see you show up in the threads he was right about.
Again, for anyone to eat crow...he would actually have to be right..he makes ridiculous claim after claim, and then when he gets one thing SORTA right, he thinks he's unlocked the secret of life...

Don't buy his nonsense

PS4 PRO |OT| 1080p LIVES MATTER

I'm just hoping this thing is quiet and 1080 looks decent. Begone jaggies and shimmering.

Oof. I see what you tried to do there, but let's not go there please :)

Relax, buddy. Him being right or not is no threat to you or us. Why put so much effort into trying to prove him wrong?

Even now you are stating things incorrectly.

Not to mention you ignore when you were outright wrong while making multiple claims and linking benchmarks of native 4k games for comparision.

You claim a smaller second GPU.

You're awfully egotistical for someone who gets so much wrong.

I had a single post that was more accurate than all of the things you assume you had right in this post. The only thing being off was UHD BR playback, which left most everyone scratching their head.

I didn't claim a smaller second GPU I was explaining possibilities of how they can get 4K with a console that's not as big & power hungry. look at the dates of the post & the information that was out at the time. It's clear that you're smart enough to tell the difference from someone talking about possibilities & someone making claims so I know that you're doing this on purpose.

You just feel bad that with all your claims to be so much smarter & a programmer I still managed to be right when you said the things I was talking about was wrong.

It's simple because if you look back you can see that it was him & others calling me names & trying to act like the things I was saying was the dumbest stuff they ever heard in their life & wasn't possible so now he follow me around trying to make small arguments to make his self feel better.

I have an Atmos receiver and set-up and I have been looking around as well. So far, no indication Atmos will be supported :/

Wait what is that controller with the blue knobs?
It's a third party controller announced a couple of weeks ago.

I'm sorry you have to deal with all these guys just for being an enthusiast about this stuff.

He's absolutely right though. You spent the time before the leak talking about the magical 'uprendering', a term likely made up by Sony's legal team as a synonym for simple upscaling, which you found in a patent and went with despite having no idea what it actually meant. That's pretty much every claim you made, finding things and throwing out a bunch of buzzwords and then claiming you were right when half of them pop up again. It's incredibly cringe worthy, and I don't even work in this exact field. For anyone that actually does I imagine it could be infuriating.

He's not right, and all this mud-slinging is borderline abuse.

Take it up with a mod if you feel so strongly about it. Don't go around polluting threads with this toxic shit.

Sold my Launch PS4 last week for £150 at local store. On top of that I got a pre-order discount, so my Pro will only rush me £160 on release!

Surprised to see that GameStop is offering $150 trade-in value for my white PS4. I also have a white OG XB1 that I no longer need, which has a $100 value. I guess I will definitely be getting a Pro when it releases since I'll get $250 credit towards it.

Dude in the other thread thought the lit up icon might be due to the glossy black reflecting light.

I don't know, sounds legit, but it looks backlit to me.

Probably wishful thinking though..

Same, would change me from waiting a few weeks, to buy on launch if it could get 1080p 60fps stable in Conquest.

If we get steady 60fps, I'm buying the thing twice

I really hope i dont jump into this thing and not notice much of a difference in 1080p mode,

I just have this itching feeling of buyers remorse. That i need hdr and 4k to actually see the difference

The picture of the Pro turned on underneath A TV (quoted a bunch earlier in this thread) doesn't have a light up logo, but maybe they changed something for the final hardware?

You'll notice plenty of difference, but if you buy a HDR TV you will notice more of a difference. No denying that.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. Still, might be nothing.
