Nice. Could you check if recorded clips of old games are still 720p or 1080p?

i had an issue with doing a transfer of everything the first time. the console needed to be reformatted and on the next try I just moved all my save games over and left everything else on the old PS4.

I might go and try to transfer everything later tonight.

I was kind worried because nothing was working. soft resets, hard resets, database rebuild. I had to initialise in the end. I would make sure when doing this on the 10th that the PS4pro is fully updated to the latest FW.

Can you guys help me out with this scenario?

I have a 1 TB hard drive in my PS4 that I am taking out. I will transfer its contents onto my PS4 Pro. I have a 500 GB hard drive that was originally in my PS4 that I will put back into it while I sell it. Can I do the following?
- Take 1 TB hard drive out of PS4. Hook up to my computer.
- Hook 500 GB hard drive to computer. Transfer personal data I've been storing on that 500 GB hard drive onto the 1 TB drive that came out of my PS4.
- Put 500 GB hard drive into the PS4. Wipe the drive. Sell the PS4.
- Later take the personal data off the 1 TB drive, but leave the gaming stuff and transfer its contents onto my new 1 TB PS4 Pro.

Most important from the above: can I take the 1 TB drive out of my PS4 and backup directly onto my computer, or do I need to do some other kind of USB backup first?

Is it possible to copy certain games over Ethernet without transferring the whole system? I don't want my old ps4 wiped. I want to keep my games on both.

No you cant. Backup via usb only or direct to another ps4

What the??? All these lucky fellow Canadians and mine still says coming on the 10th -_-

WTF! . Amazon.ca is random. I ordered mine a few hours after the official announcement. Estimated shipping Nov 17-22!?!?!?.

It never changed, so last week I canceled and got one paid off at EB for the 10th.

Hmm strange, do you live in a rural area though?
I live half an hour away from a warehouse so I was expecting to get it early, however the date hasn't changed so I'm probably going to pick up my EB order on the 10th and return the amazon one.

So has anyone with an early Pro tried BF1? I suppose there isn't a Pro mode yet to judge and we'll have to wait until a patch drops to get any info?

Why do I keep getting the impression my UE40KU6000 is going to be shite for playing the Pro on?
It won't be, reviews well that TV for an entry level 4K set. Great for gaming too input lag wise.

I have the UE50KU6020 in it's box downstairs waiting come the 10th.

Nope. In Vancouver.

R and C looks nuts. The only complaint for the OG one was some jaggies now there gone. Same with Imfamous.

I hope so. I didn't have the money to go bigger or better, and it looked nice in store, but seeing it compared to other high-end sets in this thread is bumming me out.

I have the 65KU6000, games look fantastic on it. It's a beautiful 4k TV with great low input latency.

It may not have wide color gamut for full 10bit HDR, but it's great.

Great tv for the PRO.

So I'm keeping my OG PS4 in the living room and Pro will go in the bedroom. It's best to set the Pro to my primary? And redownload all my games? Occasionally my son will be playing the other console at the same time.

Some people are just dicks.

Not everyone can afford a KS8000 or need anything bigger than 40inches.

Grow up.

Agree, there is a certain 'elitism' going on in the TV threads that's kind of annoying.

I picked up the Samsung 6290 and its fantastic in my opinion. The 8000 is twice the price in Canada and not worth the difference to me.

Be happy with what you have and get the best you can afford.

It's a great purchase and I wish them the best, but we're still in early adopter territory regarding HDR/OLED/even 4K with stuff like HFR. Don't overspend.

You're overreacting here. Higher resolutions benefit greatly from larger screen sizes. Pointing out that 40 inches isn't exactly appealing doesn't make me a dick.
