PS4 Pro boxes getting prepped

You conveniently left out your "entry level" comment.

Did I need to include it? It is an entry level TV. With HDR being different on every TV model, you end up getting worse performance the lower you go. Sadly the technology, being cutting edge, isn't cheap at the moment if you're looking for quality. This should improve in a year when models like the KS8000 become more affordable, offering good HDR performance at a much lower cost.

lol not everyone has a setup with enough space for 50"+ are these comments really necessary? folks will ultimately choose based on their own living/gaming space, I will go with a 43" X800D and be happy.
Come on man, my intention wasn't to be condescending, just an opinion of mine. I feel the bigger the TV, the more you will get out of 4k.

Is there anywhere that awesome 2TB SSHD drive is back in stock? I was an idiot and forget to get before it sold out at Amazon.

Has TV size always been a pathetic penis-measuring contest or is this a new development?

TV size has always been a bragging rights thing to alot of people my friend always has to show everyone when he gets a new tv and its bigger than anything any of us have.

If you are referring to me, my TV is 42 inches. Nothing to brag about and it wasn't my intention to brag about future purposes either.

post!
some!
1080p game screenshots!
congrats :P

no option to swap between 1080 and 4K in the TF2 menus. I would need to disable it on the TV first. looking for a place to host images, most sites are compressing the screens I upload. I think this one is uncompressed.

Are videos of older games still 720p or are they now 1080p, if you record on your Pro?

A little surprised there isn't a thread dedicated to the few people who have them already sharing stuff and answering questions.

I can't believe that the dude who has had the PS4 Pro for the longest time has only ever done stuff like this and videos of the back of the console lol. He's taken pics of games, but that was when he first got it and they were compressed to all hell.

It is weird. Maybe someone from Sony got in touch with him and asked if he would respect the embargo date. Or maybe he just has no idea what he's doing. Who knows. The internet, and the denizens of it, are strange.

I assume the floodgates will open shortly all around given that a fair number of people have had them delivered already apparently.

he's got tweets saying "I wish companies would send me their games. I will cover their product!" haha

Do you have BF1? Still wondering what improvements this one has.

Well, the embargo will be up at 8am EST tomorrow so it's almost pointless to hope for people who have it to put up information now. If they had gotten it days ago (like the person who's tweet I posted) that'd be a different story. All will be known very, very soon. I do appreciate everyone who has posted comparisons and pic though!

Since some people became so defensive after I called the KU6000 an unappealing entry level TV, here's a good review telling you why it's not a good 4K TV for HDR content: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvNlSA2T4xA

I would avoid this TV and just save up for something that actually has good HDR performance.

It may not be the best for HDR but is definitely an appealing entry level 4K TV, you are flat out wrong with that comment. Lets ignore the low input lag, great color and contrast etc.

Go check rtings budget 4k sets, its the top choice.

Keep telling us we're wrong though if that floats your boat.

Did you watch the review? HDR performance on this TV is not good or even average, it barely even qualifies as HDR making it terrible, which is the whole topic of this discussion.

2016 is not the year to buy entry-level HDR TVs when even higher end, more expensive HDR TVs cannot get it right.

I'll be the judge of that since I actually own and use the TV thanks.

If I take my 1TB drive out without backing up, is there any way to read it in my new PS4? The damn thing is refusing to backup to my external hard drive and buyer is coming in 2 hours.

You're screwed. It took 4 hrs to back up 500gb and I had to delete a shit load of games cause I have a 2TB drive.

Is the external formatted to exfat?

No. I'd suggest deleting everything you don't need (games you can redownload/reinstall). If that doesn't work upload every save to the cloud.

Just got notified that my PS4 Pro has been shipped and has an expected delivery of the 10th...

... but considering it just had it's Richmond BC arrival scan, it's Amazon Prime, and I'm only an hour away, I wouldn't be surprised if I got it sooner.

The hype is real.
