Waiting for 14:00 was a mistake.

OH SHIT

Boom.

Includes comparisons of ROTTR, Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2 and more

Nice ;:

Games that have a dynamic resolution, or a lower resolution overall, suddenly find themselves running at a permanent, native 1080p. Games such as Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1, which are both really good looking in their own right, suddenly look noticeably crisper and more atmospheric. Frame rates are tightened up as well, with Battlefield clinging to its 60fps closer than ever. Titanfall 2’s frame rate rarely wavered for me throughout the entire campaign on the standard PS4, but replaying areas on the PS4 Pro at a locked 1080p60 was really impressive.

Quick question, I have a 2TB drive in my PlayStation 4. I'm getting the PS4 pro. Can I just swap drives and that will be it?

Almost every title offers the ability to run at a higher resolution - resulting in a super-sampling effect on a 1080p screen (more on that later) plus the ability to resolve more detail running on a 4K display.

Rise of the Tomb Raider has real issues coping with sub-pixel detail, resulting in shimmering and pixel-popping that severely attracts from what is otherwise a simply beautiful game. PS4 Pro, running in super-sampling mode, cleans up nearly all of the artefacts and looks simply sensational. Furthermore, games operating with dynamic resolutions also see clear benefits - Titanfall 2 is a key case in point here.

Excellent. I'm gaming on a 1080P gaming projector on a 100 inch screen so every effort to make games cleaner and have less artifacts is great imo.

Does anyone know the deal with Amazon preorders? A few weeks ago mine changed from a release day promise date to "scheduled delivery", with an email saying it had been delayed.

Normally scheduled delivery is reserved for huge bulk items like mattresses. I preordered on 9/12. Any ideas?

Who knows? I'm kinda questioning GameSpot's video because no news of the Pro patch has been put out. Did they somehow get a Pro patch pushed to their systems? Did the guy in the video you linked get one then? It makes me wonder if these people are just playing the game on the Pro without a patch and are just really uninformed. IDK, we'll see I suppose.

Edit: It could be possible that support was on disc for BF1, but if so, I find it weird that DF didn't touch on the game in their first batch of videos.

Idk, but it Seems to run smoother than on my ps4. Or its just placebo.

Lol which is it?

I trust him when it comes to the actual gameplay but just listen to the beastcast he was pretty uninformed about everything involving the pro. For someone doing a review you would think he would have some more accurate information especially when he is being recorded talking about it.

I agree, it was really hard to listen, especially because, those three, or at least two on the cast were at the reveal event...

He shows on the stream that it is on Pro at least

Is that even going to happen though? New games will be developed with the pro in mind but due to Sony's mandate there will not really be any unique experiences that involve the pro. I am more excited for better performing and looking games which is all I expected from the system.

Edit: I should mention that I really like Jeff and will continue to read his reviews I was just mentioning that he wasn't really up to date on the ps4pro but we know it was probably because of personal life issues. I expect he will get updated now that he is not dealing with a family crisis.

Oh no, absolutely not. I linked that as a way to further drive home the point that he isn't really all that well informed.
