Meanwhile, mine is still stuck in Pre-Ordered status. Either way, it's expected to ship out tomorrow. I wonder if they're doing it regionally? I'm in Los Angeles.

This is my plan - I'm going to run Uncharted 4, Metal Gear Solid, Black Ops 3, SW Battlefront and Destiny on the console. If I'm dissatisfied with the noise levels then it's getting returned and I'm gonna end up getting a slim. I really hope it's as quiet as a mouse (dam you Digital Foundry).

It was 'preparing for shipment' before which seems further ahead than 'shipping today' to me. Like, preparing for shipment fells like it means it's about to go out.

Im also in LA, mine went from Pre-Ordered to Shipping Today.
Amazon Canada delivered mine today. I have some quick impressions. My tv is a XBR75X940D. Loaded up Ratchet and Clank, I bought the Pro for the HDR support and just from the few minutes I played, I am very happy with the results.
Overall the colors and lighting makes the picture look much more natural and authentic. The effect to me is very noticeable, I'm not the most descriptive person, but the difference feels like looking at a post card of some scenery vs actually being there. I took some photos of the screen, but other than this I'm not sure how I can convey the difference here. It doesn't look like native 4k but definitely is better than 1080p upscaled. The game was running ~30fps.

I think shipping today is further along in process for them. They know it is shipping today. I believe mine has been "preparing for shipment" for weeks. Not 100% sure.

Best Buy Website shows ready for pickup even if their system won't let you when it is at the store. In the fine details it tells you that if you don't get the actual email telling you that you can pick up, you can't. I've had this happen many times and I've tried to get around it. If you call the store and ask about it, they will clarify.
