PS4 Pro boxes getting prepped

So close.

It was 'preparing for shipment' before which seems further ahead than 'shipping today' to me. Like, preparing for shipment fells like it means it's about to go out.

From friends that I know work for Amazon, it was explained to me that 'preparing for shipment' just means that it's been pulled off a pallet and they are sorting, packing and labeling. 'shipping today means it's waiting for the carrier to pick it up.

Oh wow, thanks for letting me know!

Wait a damn minute, will online pre-orders @ target being backordered affect me walking into stores and just picking one up on release date?

Saw mine today at work (work retail) and I cannot wait. Have ROTT, Titanfall 2, Ratchet and Clank, and Infinite Warfare all ready for the Neo. I also have Dishonored 2 paid off.

Should I exchange my ps4 for a PRO if Im only using my DVI screen monitor for display?

Are you asking a more display specific version of the general "is the PS4 Pro worth it for 1080p" question? If so, the answer would be highly subjective. Several sites such as eurogamer/df and polygon have relatively extensive reviews up that discuss the 1080p question, if that's what you're interested in you probably want to read through some reports and decide for yourself. If your question is simply about the display interface/cabling then I'm not sure why it would matter unless you were dealing with 4K HDMI cables, for which there are some specific issues to be aware of.

Amazon Canada delivered mine today. I have some quick impressions. My tv is a XBR75X940D. Loaded up Ratchet and Clank, I bought the Pro for the HDR support and just from the few minutes I played, I am very happy with the results.

Overall the colors and lighting makes the picture look much more natural and authentic. The effect to me is very noticeable, I'm not the most descriptive person, but the difference feels like looking at a post card of some scenery vs actually being there. I took some photos of the screen, but other than this I'm not sure how I can convey the difference here. It doesn't look like native 4k but definitely is better than 1080p upscaled. The game was running ~30fps.

Nice man! Have you tried any other games? How was the data transfer process? How's the controller?

Still no thread outlining the details of patches/improvements to each game for 1080p TV owners? :(

Really hoping more games have Rise of the Tomb Raider-like options to enhance the overall graphics (not just resolution or frame rate).

Do we have any sort of idea about what BF1 will look like on the Pro? Really hoping for improved framerate in multiplayer but that seems to be up in the air :/

The target pre-orders are not really on backorder.

Have you preordered online with Target before? It's my first time. Mine also says backordered, but also "delivers by November 10th." Figured it's not actually backordered.

Wondering when I'll see some movement, as we're getting close and I doubt they move as quickly as Amazon.

Just saw the status on my order, came to the thread, and I agree with this. Ordering a new one shows as coming out 11/10. Delivery gives a week window. Everything is going according to plan.

I just ordered a Slim for a friend, from Target, on the same order and it came in less than 2 days after the shipment notification. Email sent with tracking on 3rd - delivered on the 4th.

Great to know. Thank you! Guess they are quick.

Anyone has LG UH8500 model ? HDR Settings cannot even create thread for LG TV Settings can someone create a thread

Ordered from Amazon and got a movers discount?

Came out to $380 after tax and will get here on the 10th. Feels pretty good.

Not sure where to post this, but I posted earlier that my pro had a broken hdmi out port, It's actually my tv causing problems. I have an LG 43uh6100 4k tv and it refuses to display the pro signal, I tried all 3 hdmi ports and tried several different cables, all hdmi 2.0. I hooked my OG ps4 back up and it works perfect.

I tried the pro on a 1080p plasma in the living room and it works perfect.

Anyone know what's wrong? Thanks
