Well i don't mind annually big updates but Sony must listen to what is important for consumers. If after 3.0 in 2015 we still can't pause downloads or have folders or resume/suspend or all the other minor stuff then they better have huge umbrellas to cover their asses from the constant shitstorm that will going down on them.
Suspend/resume is really strange because it's already there. You can suspend freaking games when you launch another app. Don't know why it's so hard to allow it in when the PS4 is off/standby modus.
I don't think they'll introduce folders either - as in "create your folder":Unless they put a cap and limit which folder does what - and I can already hear the bitching about that too. "Folders" have become a buzzword of sorts. The PS4 already has folders btw. They are just defined, and out of your control. The Xbox One has "tiles" - they act as folders in a way too.
That's why improving the Library FOLDER seems more reasonable, less time consuming dev wise, more functional and it's releasing with 2.0. Sort your games content by: (genre? favorites?) PS+ games sent directly to that folder without downloading, sort Apps etc..... It's one BIG folder after all. I have 23 games on mine w/ ShareFactory and E3 app. Don't know why the Destiny Beta is still showing there - with no ability to delete (another thing that should be fixed).
What I suggest is that they change that stupid logo into something more flashy/eye candy - the more customizable the better w/ preview like apps and games have. So in a way, we already have folders: the Capture Gallery folder - another folder that could do with a rename, The TV/Videos folder, and the "Library folder" which should just simply be renamed to "Games and Apps Folder".
The Library Folder is simply a massive folder, and sorting should help it a lot (from the pics released - it looks similar to PS Store sorting U.I wise).
DLNA is not something that's hard to implement - that's a given it's coming sooner or later - same as the small friend notifications and U.I improvements. Suspend/Resume I can see why it would take more time but they have talked about it since launch - so they had it in the works/planned even then. You don't talk about a feature unless someone said it's possible with a high certainty of doubt. It's already on Vita too. But yeah they should get heat if they don't give us a time-frame by the end of 2015 for sure.
My most anticipated/wanted feature is having the ability to chose which apps/games appear when I boot up since its done in a way that shows up as "most recently used"
