PSN: Co-Op Sale: Up to 80% Off Borderlands, Rocket League and More

Ultra Street 4 is co-op, really? Also just so people know better:

DO NOT BUY PAYDAY 2 *BLINGEE THIS.gif*

Why? Because Overkill does NOT give two fucks about the console playerbase. I repeat: DO NOT BUY PAYDAY 2.

This was your friendly consumer information buying guide. Thank you.

Im gonna add to this slightly to give a clearer picture. The ps4 version is perfectly functional. The only major problem it still has is no ingame voice chat, but I can't attest to the playerbase size now. I put over a 100 hours into it for the plat. Just don't expect any support through patches or dlc as the game seemingly flopped pretty bad.

Its not completely broken or anything, on ps4 that is. They're just not supporting. More a philosophical issue on the fairness of mutual dlc and patching.

Ignore this clarity. If you have any interest in Payday 2: DO NOT BUY IT ANYWAY.

Overkill has fucked up so hard, that even the PC verison that they better support is feeling their terribleness. Do not give them money, do not give their demo a time of day. Do not give them a sale. Thank me later when you're playing something with better support on PC/Console.

Seeing the high price for bf hardliners just makes me not want to buy the game at all. Really hate this practice ea has. Give me the full game at 20. Don't even want to buy anything from them anymore. Tired of getting half their game which for the most part have had bad single players anyways.

Do they list which ones are local splitscreen coop?

Borderlands Handsome Collection is!

And speaking of which

I don't like having my library split up between physical and digital, but for borderlands I might go digital!

I was doing some reading and someone brought up a great point about how borderlands is the kind of game that you would just want to boot up and hop in instantly, rather than changing your disc. I'm more likely to want to have instant access to game like that rather than a single player game.

This also made me realize that getting Destiny digital would also be a better decision, but there's not going to be any digital black friday sales for Destiny :/

I couldn't resist and bought Borderlands Collection for a go to local Co-Op multiplayer game. Now I just need get some of my friends who play Destiny all the time to buy this and play with me, lol.

I still have a saved character from my PS3 so I get to resume that.

Rocket League, Borderlands Collection, and Resogun - that's a pretty solid group of co-op games I have.

Sony just needs to produce an improved Modnation Racer's and I'm set.

Got bummed about Borderlands: The Pre Sequel going on sale right after I bought at a local retailer for 9,99. Doesn't look like the prize is down to that however so that's some salt dodged right there.

Question: What do you mean if you say it's not completely broken?

Like does it have any unpatched issues?

Metal Slug X is one of the good ones? Reviews seem quite positive.

It's the best one

It depends on which platform you get it. The Vita version has some forced touch/gyro sections. Try the demo first to see if you like it.

Legends is worse, but still has a lot of greatness. It has some low lows, though. I think the Wii U version is much better FWIW, especially if you can play the touchscreen levels in co-op. That's only in comparison to the non-touchscreen versions, though, I'm not sure how the Vita iteration stacks up. I know it was initially missing some content but IIRC they patched it in. Also, if you are open to playing a physical copy rather than digital, I'm guessing it can be found for a lower price than this (for PS3/360 at least, and maybe for PS4/XB1 as well).

Thanks guys, I'll wait until the end of the sale to decide. Really in a platformer mood these days for some reason. Too bad there aren't a whole lot for PS4.

Also, Overkill is a bunch of dickheads as displayed by their atrocious behavior the past month.

I wouldn't feel comfortable supporting them on any platform.

Damn I picked up the BF4 premium edition a few days ago on the Xbox One since it was marked down. Kinda wish I would've waited now, oh well. Looks like I'll be picking up the Handsome Collection, really wanna play through TPS. Diablo 3 is tempting me too.

Waiting until the weekend, though. I'm sure something else will pop up that I want.

Prepare for horribly long, unskippable cut/loading screens.

Honestly I don't understand the love that game gets. I played it a while ago after I got a disc based copy for $5, and sure the gunplay is pretty solid but everything else is meh. Ludicrous story, dialogue, unskippable cutscenes, weak ass level design (maybe a handful of good ones) long loading times, graphically kind of sub par (maybe I just didn't like the artstyle maybe). People praise the shit out of that game here, I don't see it. Played it once and never looked back. Now I'm playing Vanquish and loving every second of it. *shrug*

Still buying it with the RDR bundle cause dat RDR tho

Also, anybody have anything to say on Double Dragon Neon? I'm playing Streets of Rage on my laptop with a friend atm, is this game at least as good as the original Double Dragon?

The in game voice chat is broken, but that's the only issue it had I believe. That is a pretty big issue if you only play with randoms. I just wanted to push that the game isn't broken and the main reason not to buy it is the lack of support just so there's no confusion. It still has a large amount of content for the price, regardless of future support. Like I said it's more a principles issue, and less a broken game issue.

Street Fighter sounds ok for $15. I'll wait to see if there are any good Black Friday deals before I buy.

Is Battlefield Hardline worth it?

As long as you're not looking for a serious console FPS game to commit a lot of time to and you just want to piss around for a couple hours it's decent fun. The single player is way better than you'd think, too. Quite a bit of stuff to do.

It's important to note that the player population is dwindling though. If that's important to you definitely go with BF4 over Hardline.

When do they usually reveal the PS+ titles? The Thursday before the first Tuesday of the upcoming month?

Three more days and all these deals will still be up by then. Hold on!

It's hard! So down right now for that Max Payne 3 and RDR bundle for $5.10 and even though I beat the hell out of it on 3Ds, I want RE Revelations. I need to see what they've got for the flash sale.

Lost fiddy cents by checking out before the coupon was known but Metal Slug X, Bomberman Party Edition and Contra: Shattered Soldier for $5.10 ain't bad. Hoping to maybe play them on my PS4 but I do have other options if that doesn't happen.

I owned the other good stuff that wasn't still overpriced.

Are Bomberman Party Edition and Bust a Move 4 good versions of those series?

Dang. I'm waiting for Rayman Legends to reach $10. I know it's worth $16, but still. Actually...why can't it be free on PS+ like it was on GWG?

MSX is an OK port and runs fine, besides it's dat Metal Slug goodness, how can you say no to that?

Although it's not NEO CONTRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, Contra SS is good on its own.
