I went with Infamous and LBP. I've already played both to death on disc, but since then I've sold them (got LBP2). It's free, so why not, it'll be nice to always have both games on my HDD.

I already own all the other games aside from SSDHD, so it wasn't a hard choice. I'll just buy SSDHD someday.

The family of Qriocity services is not available in your country/region.

Any other way?
No idea. That's the only way I knew how to check because someone else posted it before.

I wish they has emphasized that the free movie rentals was for one weekend only cause I totally missed out on them. Why weren't they for the whole month like everything else is?

It is, I haven't been able to download anything since I am required to change my password before i can access the PSN, but the password change site is down for maintenance, so I'm screwed out of anything right now.

What a rip >.<! The heck is wrong with Sony? They must want as many people as possible to miss out on the goodies.

Weird. In my Services List, it still has WipeOut HD Full Game Unlock - Entitlement, even though I have already "unlocked" the game. It won't go away I take it?

I had the reverse situation. I was able to download PSP games on my EU account, but I didn't even get the option to download any PSP titles on my US account.

Can't believe the Hong Kong password change page is STILL down. They really don't give a shit about Asia.

Played the LBP PSP demo... do not want! It took like 10 minutes just to complete the first demo level! Slow and clunky controls blah. Saves me from wasting time downloading the demo of the PS3 version. Still really at a loss for what my second PSP and PS3 game should be~

Try the Qriocity website.

I was going to make a new thread but I was hoping someone could help me.

Ok, well I tried playing killzone 3 today and when I was playing it said that the map pack was not on my system even though it was, it probably just got corrupted.

Ok my question is once DLC gets mixed with the main system game file is their a way to remove that piece of DLC only and not delete the rest of the system data?

also, what happens if I have something on my hard drive and then I redownload it and install it again, does it overwrite the old file or just take up more space?

Go into the Game Data utility (at the top of the Game column), look for the KZ3 logo, press Triangle, delete from there, re-download from the Store, ????, profit. And it will tell you that you already have the item installed, and ask you if you want to overwrite it.

Uh, so I went to PSN store, chose my games....and now I can't find them nor can I redownload them from the transaction history. Am I doing something wrong?

You sure you redeemed your games?

Check download list in the PSN store

They don't appear in there, but they're not in the welcome back section to be redeemed, but when I go to my transaction history they appear as products purchased.

Go to Transaction under Account Management, and then click service list, and SCEA Promotion > Games1/2 > Select

I had a similar problem with two of my accounts. I think if you had not logged into the account for a long time it makes you reset via email. Not sure of any way to get around it.

Keep in mind DLC is region locked, it has to match your game disc region for it to work.

I hear LBP PSP controls a bit differently from the console version though. It's not a direct port.

Yep, controls better than the PS3 version imo.

you didnt read the OP properly

it says:

On your PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Portable navigate to the PlayStation Network icon on the XMB

Log into your PlayStation Network account and choose Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List

Choose “PlayStation Network Promotions” from the list of services displayed

Select either “PS3 Free Games” or “PSP Free Games” and then choose “Select Content”

You will be taken to the store to choose your remaining free games.

Cross-posted this with infamous OT.

When I start up the game it goes to the intro movie and I can't skip it. It just goes straight to my last save, no main menu. Is this normal? Sitting through the intro movie every time sucks. What's going on?

So if you lose your video rentals because your PS3 died and you had to get a new one how can you get get them back? I have looked in the downloads section and the account management section but don't see a way to redownload the movies?

Stupid question that I didn't see in the first post or Sony's FAQ...

If I only own a PSP and have a PlayStation account for that, could I download the PS3 games as well? I'm thinking about buying a PS3, so I was just wondering.

Well, you could ask a friend with a PS3 to use your PSN account to get you the free PS3 games.

So it will work? Amazon is offering a $50 gift card with a purchase of a PS3, so I was thinking about just buying one. The only good friend I know with one just had his YLOD on him, too.

Is there a way to access the account management on the psp? I had the same problem where I didn't get to get my free game because of a time out but I cannot find out where to find it. I also do not currently have a ps3 to access it on there. I read the op also.

For those complaining about LBP PSP, the story mode levels are not that good. The real meat of that game is the user content. Try some of these levels.

Timber Canyon I&II or anything else from VelcroJones. I wish Sonic Team would hire this dude. His platformers are fast, fun and have a high replay value.

I went to the Japanese PSN maintenance page to see if they have given any date to when the Japanese part of the service will be back up. According to the site it is still down. It seems that it should be up shortly because they finally have announced some kind of welcome back restart of the whole PSN/Qriocity Service.

There is an entry on the 9th of June titled "2011年6月9日サービス全面再開時にご提供する「感謝とおわびのパッケージ」に関する最新情報" which basically covers Japan's version of the welcome back program except it's called quite fittingly the "Thanks and Apology Package". I think that is more appropriate than "welcome back" it just seems more sincere and less like you left PSN and came back because you couldn't live without it.

Anyhow the Apology Package consists of 1 free month of the JPN Qriocity Service, 1 month of plus, 2 free PS3, PSP, and 3 movies unique from the other regions already listed.

The PS3 games are
・The Last Guy
・おいでよロコロコ!! BuuBuu Cocoreccho! (Come here Locoroco)
・無限回廊 -序曲- (Echochrome)
・WipEout HD
・ハスラーキング (Hustler Kings Billiards)

The PSP games are
・勇者のくせになまいきだor2 PSP® the Best (Holy Invasion of Privacy. Badman! 2 *best hits)
・みんなのスッキリ (Minna no Sukiri)
・パタポン ２ ドンチャカ♪ PSP® the Best (Patapon 2)
・リトルビッグプラネット ポータブル (Little Big Planet Portable)
・LocoRoco® -Midnight Carnival-

Playstation Home
1 special space for your room

The movies are
・アイアンマン (Ironman)
・鉄コン筋クリート　(Tekkon Kinkreet)
・時をかける少女 (Toki wo kakeru shojo)

I may have made mistakes on title names as I really don't follow PS3 releases all that closely but if any of what I wrote is added to the OP then I'll be happy. :)

Now to my own opinion on all this.
I am not too crazy about the PS3 offerings. I think they need to give at least one more non niche big release retail game like LBP or something similar. Hustler Kings is kind of meh IMO. I think Echochrome looks interesting for a puzzle game but it looks more suited for a DLC kind of game. Oh well, I'll probably pick up LocoRoco and as I am not interested in zombie themed games I'll probably get Hustle King since I already have Wipeout HD.

I think the PSP games offered are much better than the PS3 games and it probably makes more sense as the PSP is pretty big here. As for the movies, they seem interesting enough. I will probably watch them with my wife. She'd probably be interested in them.

I still can't believe how long it’s taken for Japanese PSN to come back online. I would have thought it would be the easiest to get back up considering the size of the country and it being the regional HQ of Sony corp.

edit: where are my manners? I forgot the official page link. http://www.jp.playstation.com/psn/kansha-to-owabi.html
