RuGalz: Hmm, ignore M33 Network Update. If your system menu doesn't specifically report "5.00 M33-6" then you're not on 5.00 M33-6. Update manually, if you must. Dark-Alex might be shuffling things about his Network Update server, or something.
Jet Grind Radio!: Are you sure you're looking under the Configuration category of the Recovery Menu? You're not using an XMB plugin to access an alternate Recovery Menu or anything, are you? Access the real one by fully shutting down your PSP (if it's on), and holding R while you boot up. Once in the Recovery Menu, navigate to Configuration. The version.txt option is second from the bottom, right between Hide PIC0.PNG and PIC1.PNG in game menu and Speed up MS access (the very last option).
Worst case scenario, there's probably no harm in installing a lesser 5.00 M33, and then upgrading back up to 5.00 M33-6.

Yup. The system is coming up from a power on. I've even tried it a few times. I don't have my PSP on me, so I can't check precisely what my config menu says.Mejilan said:

Been trying to get FF7 from PSN store working on my CFW PSP and having a heck of a time. I upgraded to 5.00 M33-6 and used the version.txt trick from a few pages ago.
Now I get an error (CA000007) when I try to play the game. It gets to the warning screen and then quits. Anyone else having this issue as well?

Yes it can. Did you format your memory stick through the PSP? If not do that. If you did, try re-installing the firmware. If that still doesn't work there is something messed up with the card reader..

I then moved the stick from a PSP-2000 to a PSP-3000 with current firmware and it read all the non-ISOed games just fine.
It's a Sandisk Pro HG-Duo, so not a standard Pro Duo stick. That might be it.

Do you have the 32mb stick you could try? If that works, then I have no idea.. I've read that the HG-Duo sticks support up to 32gb on the PSP..

I assumed my PSP was at M33-6, but it wasn't. Now the option to enable version.txt is there. Gonna try FFVII here in a second.

I'm still on the latest m33 (5.00 m33-6) release, and just did the version.txt trick to get Dissidia demo working. Won't let me onto the store though on the PSP, downloaded on PS3 and plopped it across.
I think a new CFW is well past due from DA at this point with half the normal stuff no longer functioning :/

Is there a way to solve the whole "You have to sign in to a different account to use different region DLC" thing using CFW?
I can just see it being a nuisance when I start buying more stuff. At the moment, I can play the Dissidia demo but not my Rock Band tracks...

I download MGS from the store, and it ran on my 5.00 M33-6 PSP without any problem (I've never done the version.txt trick). Only problem is the audio is skipping around like crazy. Anyway to fix this?

Press select from the XMB to bring up the VSH Menu. Select the Recovery option. From Recovery you will see an option to enable/disable plugins.Xater said:

You need to grab a more modern copy of Hellcat Recovery Flasher. Version 1.60 is the lowest version that supports proper operation from within ChickHEN R2. What is the exact error(s) you are getting?batbeg said:

- Remove UMD from drive
- Disable UMD auto-start
- Disable UMD cache
Once you have these settings changed, reboot the PSP (full shut-down, not sleep) and try ChickHEN again.
If all that fails, there is a hacked version of ChickHEN R2 that may work better for you:

As long as you are using the phat-specific version of the hack, you should be fine.

Okay I'm doing it right now. I'm up top the part where you need to dump and decrypt 4.01 and take the impose.prx file. Does this mean I need to download the OFW 4.01, run it through RSPSARDumper, and get a new impose.prx file, or can I just use the one from the 3.71 dump?navanman said:

Shit, what did I do wrong? I enabled the thing in the recovery menu, but didn't get prompted to sleeted my POPS version when I booted up MGS.
