Since I received my PSP that I noticed some black staints on the screen that were pretty big and that were noticeable.
They were bigger than a pixel and they were in several parts of the screen. Since I could change their position if I changed the PSP view angle I supposed they were dust particles... Well since here no major problems.
Today I decided to be brave and I opened my PSP. The operation seemed easy:
1. Open the PSP.
2. Clean the Screen.
3. Close the PSP.
I opened the PSP and proceeded to clean the LCD and the screen. I think I had never felt so nervous in my life.
After cleaning it...I proceeded to close it and start it....
Oh ! Surprise ! The dust particles are still there !
Under further examination I discovered that THEY WERE NOT dust particles ! (nor dead pixels)
They were some black staints on the plastic of the screen ! I rubbed a bit harder to remove them...No results....I used a medical stick with a bit of water...No results...And I finally proceeded with alcohol...And no results too (actually alcohol ended fucking the plastic of the screen).
They won't leave !
So my advice for those of you that want to open your system for whatever reason is that beware of black staints...They cannot be removed.
