This may be a stupid question, but I was wondering if there is a way to use my PS2 hard drive instead of memory cards? Up untill now i have basically only used my system to play FFXI but i have recently aquired some new games and don"t really want to buy a memory card if i dont have to. Thanks in advance for any responses.

I believe you can back up save games to your HDD, but you can't load the save games off the HDD. You still need to use a memory card to load saves

Well it's not that bad. You just gotta copy your saves games before you load the games up. The games are programmed to load off the memory card, which is why you can't load directly off the HDD
