It also can correct the behavior of the person when they see how others react so strongly to it.

I'm sorry I just don't see the value in your approach of basically not acknowledging this stuff as it happens because it's going to happen anyway or she'll probably just grow out of it (sure). Racist shit needs to be called out when it happens. Screw the negative peace.
