360 version has less texture pop in, *sigh* of all the devs that I thought could make the console versions exactly the same, it would be id, guess I was wrong...
Was originally on the fence between 360 and ps3, mainly because of the multiple discs, but now it appears that the 360 is technically just two discs (maybe a psychological thing on my part, swapping between 2 discs doesn't seem as egregious as 3, as I won't be touching mp anyways), and the loading appears faster on the 360 version based on the vids (I roughly counted 10 secs vs 15 secs). Pre-ordered the 360 version.

I still don't understand how they did this much at 60 fps on consoles. The outdoor areas look damn nice.

I'm watching that Rage pt 3 video in 1080p and that is definately not 60fps all the time.
There are obvious areas where the fps dips, like turning around and loading new assets, and such. Perhaps it's from the person recording but....
Also the art style looks great but there's obvious tons of low res textures it just looks better because everything is grimy.

30fps is my minimum ideal fps however.
Sure hope someone releases a mod to turn off that shitty vinegette and heavy breathing. Why can't games have health bars instead of this shitty crap that is distracting and makes things hard to see?

And the animations, specially during dialogue.. damn! All will be wrapped in 60fps to boot. Can't wait to admire it all in person. Also I thought this was gonna be a linear corridor shooter but it seems like a really open game with quests from npcs, inventory, minigames, hidden side missions, exploration and whatnot. Aliasing there on the 360 vid and on either version (consoles), the textures don't look that good but as a whole the game looks really nice. I don't see an Uncharted or Gears level of texture detail though. Not yet at least.
The scale is really good though. Impressive.

You guys say that cause youre used to having great framerates on PC, but just the other day i was at a friend's house playing his xbox and locked 30fps is just terrible if youre used to 60.

Probably not a smart thing to do to hammer the servers like that, may end up banned, but it shows the servers are so overloaded, Valve needs to do something.
